hey i just put my summers away and put on my winter tires....
im driving a black hatch 06, wondering if anyone is rocking hub caps or if anyones paints there steelies some different colour besides black...not sure im digging the black or black with steelies...

now if i had black on black with a nice silver lip thats a different story

hahaha thats a little much dont u think? i kind of wanted a oem look, or something that i could get an idea of when to buy a new set of rims for next summer ( considering i got my car in july, im planning on buying rims next summer )

also, not sure if its normal, nor did i take pics of it ( yet ) but while changing my tires, i also helped my dad changes his tires on his 2003 protege 5 and the center cap, where wed have the mazda sign on the reg oem 17" rims, his seems to have a cap where mine looks concave in...

I think there was one guy on this forum who painted his day-glo green. Not a good look. Mind you, I am going to use wheel discs when I put my steelies on so it's all very personal. I'm not the Ghetto type. More the NADP milk carton type right ZZ Boy?

Seems funny how many people here in Calgary have already got their steelies on. It's still bone dry though we did have one slight snowfall. I think people really jumped the gun this year. There's something very "undressed" about a MZ3 with black steelies on it.

You could do what the British Army does: paint them khaki and paint the nuts red. Cool military look.

I actually like the black steelies look. It shows people that you've got winters on and that you can smoke them in the snow. I have a black MZ3 and will be getting a new set of winters at Tires23 very soon. They are having a sale on Gislaved Nordfrost5 and Pirellis I believe. They are out of stock on the Hankook iPikes.

I'd say a nay just cause it's not my style personally...but it doesnt look bad like MB said.

As for the steelies look I guess it all depends how you wanna go. I prefer the stock rims (5 spoke) either 16/17's whatever you can get your hands on.
