Ebay fogs suck...

ok so i wanted to install my new HID fogs last night and just as we were about to put the bulb in..the lens shatters out of no where. This is the second set to shatter on me. I'm wondering if the OEM 04-06 Fog light housings lenses are made of glass or hard plastic.

Is there any places that sell high heat plastic so i can make a custom lens for them?

I find the qualtiy is not as good when buying from ebay on certain things

The OEM glass is still stronger than ebay kits.

Should have just lurked on M3F and looked for someone selling OEM parts.

Thats what i did when one of my lenses cracked.

I would never trust ebay for fogs man..

but now you have an excuse to try your retrofit idea

Don't waste anymore of your time Phil. Get the OEM ones from Joe and be done with it. With all the time we spend making Ebay parts work, its just not worth it. Do it once and do it right.

yup those would fit my car. i emailed the guy but the ad is over a month old so i don't know if he still has them.

Yeah, I've been burned on cheaping out before. Usually, a bit more money upfront instead of replacing something 2+ times with cheap shit.

at a point you know what to buy and what not to buy from ebay. I buy almost everything from there. I even had a set of fogs from ebay on my last 3 and they never had anyproblems and they were always on
