Default Hanging things on wall, tacky putty

I picked up some blue-coloured tacky from Home Depot but it sucks. Can't even hold up my speaker wire for the day!

Anyone have any suggestion for good quality tacky-putty that will hold up a small item such as speaker wire? It's running from one wall-wall-ceiling corner, along the wall-ceiling for about six feet. I already have a few small brackets holding it up but the drooping bothers me so I'm looking for tacky putty to keep it straight-along.

Brand and where-to-buy info would be appreciated. Thanks!

If I were to run wire across the ceiling, I would use a few finishing nails to hang it on. They are very small and you can push them in the drywall without any tools.
    Have you seen my stapler?
