Well, I have been having fun.

My fiancee decided to write off her Mazda 3, so I turned down the insurance company, fixed it myself, and added some stuff along the way.

Car was originally a 2011 Mazda 3 GS with moonroof and leather. So when we bought it, I installed a speed interior into it, and just did the regular maintenance stuff.

Now that I have had it for longer, I have added almost everything these cars came with.

    It now has:
    2011 Mazda 3 GT cluster
GT dashboard with fully functioning dual auto climate control
Upgraded roofliner (with relocated microphone and sunglasses holder)
    Auto dimming rear view mirror

The climate control is pretty much plug and play when you have an entire car to take pieces off of in the process. I had to use the whole dash harness and the GT cluster for everything to work properly with the auto climate control, but now it's 100% like the option came in the car.

I love this car so much more now, I loved cruising around in it before, but now that I have added those options, it's way better now.

current group 35 battery was in need of replacement, didn't want to chance it over the winter.
picked up a new 24F kirkland one and installed it

also replaced the front sway bar endlink, no more clunking and knocking, yay.

Got my winters put on at the dealership a couple of days ago. Drove home, and then noticed that one of my wheels looked flat. Checked all four wheels PSI - 15, 20, 7, 20 ...
Inflated all wheels to recommended 36 (looked at the checklist from the dealership that claimed all wheels were measured at that psi) and it's been staying at that for the last 2 days.

    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@Metal Wing _You should call the dealer and complain BIGTIME!, as that is a very serious safety issue. They should be checking all tire pressures, no exceptions/excuses. At a couple of those low pressure readings you listed, if you had taken it for an extended highway jaunt, there was a high possibility of catastrophic tire failure.

    Very unprofessional imo.

The dealership did call me following my visit to ask me how my experience was, and I did inform them that for the first time in 5 years I actually wasn't satisfied. The lady on the phone did seem genuinely terrified and said she'd let the manager know. I don't expect anything to come of it, but we'll see.

And yes, I am glad I did not go above 60kmph after my visit.

Well you did your part. All you can hope for is they take their job and their customer's safety more seriously in the future, and therefore no one gets hurt.

Dealership should or will probably offer a free changeover or a free oil change. Hope they give you something because that was dangerous.

I want and need this lmao... I have a feeling my boost leak is from my manifold. The old compression fittings on the brake boost is suspect.

What power numbers to expecting to make now?

took me about the same time, not a hard job, just tight space and have to move a bunch of stuff out of the way.
I didn't remove the glove box like I read on many DIY threads, just worked from below the dash.

It's been really close to not starting during a few warmer winter days in December.

did my recalls for 2011 Mazda 3 today and had couple of things fixed by Westown Mazda: had corrosion on shift linkage fixed and lubricated, fender liner repaired and they also give 10% discount for TM3 plated members. All you have to do is asked. On top of that my car came back looking shiny afterwards.

Westowne Mazda is getting my business.
