Picked up two sponsors this season, new basic livery for round 5/ 2018 CSCS Production FWD class. Every little bit helps at this point. I redesigned the BRTS logo to better suit the car, and was super pleased working with Tiago at concept wraps bringing my layout to life.

Had a smoke test done for boost leak. Found 2 minor problem areas. One being the turbosmart bov. Pulled it apart and gave it a well needed lubing.

Strut swap out. Old and busted stock to the new hotness, Bilstein B12. Not much of a drop (sport suspension) but also nothing settled yet. Should just be about perfect if I get somewhere in the 20 to 30mm range.

Jack stands are inside the lower control arm on the subframe. This pic was for the lolz.

Also took the other strut apart. The upper strut bearing was toasted (now I know what that noise was)

Ordered two new bearings last night so I'll have to reverse what I did. At least it didn't really take too long.

In Boston now so not a big deal for the wait.

Last weekend I finally replaced driver side front lca. One of the bolts was really seized and it messed the nut up

Installed an LED light bar (eBay)
It for use driving up north to better avoid Moose/deer at night. It Will be used in conjunction with high beams mostly on HWY 60 where I have had a few close calls with animal strikes.

Should have installed it on your roof rack. Having it so low on the ground it making it very tiring on your eyes as they're trying to scan in the distance but the forground lighting you just added is focusing your eyes right infront of you.

I use my roofrack too much so it would interfere a little too much. My car has also been vandalized downtown Toronto a few times so I also like that it's behind the bumper. Stealthy. I can always move it up there if it does become an strain on my eyes as there is a lot of extra wiring harness left.

Got the THINKWARE DASH CAM X350. So far so good. Anyone have any idea on how to hardwire it to my mazda so it has power all the time?

Removed RHO plate, relocated plate to the driver's side, mounted right to the bumper.

Cheap used project RHO plate for sale in classifieds.

Actually, some people recommend doing just that if you don't have a jack stand (ie side of the road) if the jack fails it lands on the wheel, not the ground, or well you.

Debugged some more electrical gremlins. After resolving the immobilizer issue, had CEL P2122.

Dug around with the voltmeter and found a ground wasn't resolving to 12V from the battery.

Cleaned up a bit or corrosion, scraped some paint away to get better contact to the body, and reseated the acc pedal sensor wiring harness (probably wasn't necessary).

Finally back on the road. Couple of test runs today and a 3rd gear log. Gotta download it to the computer but so far things running well.

I finally gave the interior a quick clean. Vacuum, windows, armour all plastics.

Nevermind, I found the answers I was looking for:

Further cleaning: Going to try baking soda +water vinegar solution as well as some gain to get out the stubborn salt/dirt stains out of the carpet and a spot vac to clean the upholstery seats.
