I've been shopping around for some used rims, and I found a good offer for a set of Ford rims, part number x40827. I found out that they were used on Crown Vic's up until 2001, but the other wheel fitting thread only says from 2002 onwards. They are 16x7 rims with a 5x114.3 bolt pattern, so they seem like they should fit.

Also, would these rims fit 205/55/16 tires? 7in is a little wide, but apparently it isn't that horrible of an issue.

Depends on the center bore. If it's 67.1mm or larger, it will fit.

As for tires, yes they should fit.

Crown Vic wheels can have low offset numbers, so check that too or they may poke out too much.

FD22 - They have have 70mm borehole, so I would have to buy some rings to make up for the gap.

Aitch - I did some research, and they are a 12mm offset. How bad will this be, and is it even practical?

12mm offset is not practical...you want an offset between 40-50

Dont buy the 12mm offset. They are likely Macpek steel wheels. Thats what the part number looks like anyways. Macpek make a quality steelie, but you will want one that fits.

Also - No hub rings on steel wheels.
