Dashboard replacement?

So I bought a 08.5 mazda 3 gt back in March,

It came with a little stain on the dashboard. It was too good a deal to pass by (6000KM)
The stain looks like sun damage and its whiteish and looks kinda faded.

anyone recomend any GOOD products to polish it off, its really starting to bother me lol.
I dont even know if its possible, but i'm also open to replacing the part of the dash,

if its possible does anybody know how much it would cost, im a newb lol

The middle part of the dashboard. I want to know if it can be taken out and replaced with a new one.

Yes Phil i know which part of the dash he is talking about and yes i know comes out i've had mine out before...what i'm saying is it don't look any different then the rest of the dash

oh sorry, i probably should have mentioned that the picture is not my car i just took that pic from google, i just wanted to show what piece it was that i wanted to have replaced.

I don't know what the dealer wants but have you tryed cleaning your old one and then applying something like megurairs NXT dash trim??

The part itself costs $108.87 plus tax. Where exactly is the "stain"? Maybe you can get an air freshener from Peter at NextMod and just cover it up?

I put an anti-slip mat to cover that whole area and that's where I put the air fresheners and my phone when I am driving.

Use Dupli-color Trim Paint it restores OEM black finish i used it on my beige piece looks great

This is a picture of the dash in my car.

the stain takes up most of the middle piece. Im guessing its somehow sun damage...
i dunno its not coming off.

That is caused by your A/C...mine getting like that when i got my A/C on for long periods on hunide days..it should clean right up...Clean your dash the apply some dash dressing and it should be gone

Covers it up nicely, but still... that's some hardcore damage... if you can get it replaced for free, then why not. Try what aris suggested and see if it clears up ?

Thats not sun damage its condensation from the A/C unit i have a similar issue. try using Armorall it might bring the color back.

OMG, Ash, you're too funny. I almost fell off the couch from laughing ! First of all, it's "kachichas". Secondly, why do you think there are two air fresheners on there !? I need Jimmy to figure out why the AC smells like that and I need him to recharge it also.

Anyway, to keep on topic, I've tried Armor All on the dash but I didn't like the way it smelled so I have since switched to 303 Aerospace Protectant. Give that product a try ! Should clear it right up.

Where did you get your antislip mat from? I've been looking around and can't seem to find any. Crappy Tire used to carry em, but I don't see em there anymore.

My dad got a whole roll of it from Canadian Tire from way back in the day and I just cut it to size. Pacific Mall has them too but they're smaller, pre-cut ones (at least the ones I have seen in one automotive accessories store).

Why the Nihon flag in a plastic bag?

It's actually a placeholder I stole from work lol it has a slit at the top where you slide the papers in. It's just the Nihon flag printed on two pieces of paper and placed back to back. I can't technically glue it onto the thing that holds it lol. I was reppin' the Japanese soccer team during the World Cup. I just keep forgetting to take the thing down lol

There's squash air fresheners in both of them; I can't find a replacement citrus air freshener for the orange one and Peter doesn't carry them. I can't find them at Pacific Mall either. So bastos !
