August 22, 2010 - Meeting of the Mazdas 2010
August 22, 2010. Rain. Bruce Mill's Conservation Area was the park chosen to host this year's Meeting of the Mazdas, an event where many different year and models of Mazdas come together for a day at the park. With months of organizing, getting park permits, renting BBQ, and organizing everything to be delivered and returned to the event, the Toronto Protege Club once again hosted the event this year. With the help of a few members from the Toronto Mazda 3 club this year, things went alot more smoothly!
Everyone had to pay a $6.50 "environmental" charge at the gate to the conservation park, and got to register for the show and shine and raffle tickets. This year, we had alot more gifts and prizes donated by sponsors which meant nearly everyone that came to Meeting of the Mazdas walked away with something =)
The event started off at around 11am when clubs from various areas started to come into the park. Organizers had arrived 2 hours prior to setup and ensured all went well once everyone rolled in. Although drizzling, the rain held off majority of the time and games like tug of war and fish racing got to be played by everyone. Staff at Mazda Canada also stopped by to donate some gifts and showed off the 2011 limited edition Mazda2!!
