Default Installed my LED Headlight "Audi Style" strips (Pics Included!)

They look alot better in person, and look very sharp at night . . .I wired them to the fuse box using a fuse tap and installed a switch inside under the dash drivers side.

All i can say is: It's a pain in the rear to get through the firewall with big hands! \

    Hopefully those links work

The ones under the hood surpisingly make it look like a professional install .In the pics it looks crappy but in real life if u look at from seated position or from a further distance it loooks alot better. I took one at night from far you can see that the light shine actually extends the full length and isnt dimmer or anything. .. .

I took that with my iphone so its not great but you get the idea.

imo if u really want Audi style lights you should bake open the headlights, and put the real Audi style leds

    Hey,

Thanks for the opinion.. For sure that would be best, but i was talking with a couple of buddies who have actually done that, they ran into the problem that some of the LED's burn out quickly. I didn't like the idea of having to bake open the headlights every couple months to change them. This way i can easily peal them off , and cut the wire and attach a new one and they only cost a couple of dollars anyway off ebay. If i can find a solid LED strip that will last me a couple of years it would def be worth it.

In the winter they will start to harden up. The plastic rubber which is flexible now is still good. Give it some sun and cold and a couple months and the circuit starts to harden. Then when someone drops your hood to close it you will snap a connection and lose 3 leds depending on where it cracked.

It looks good but I recommend you hide the ones under the hood. Maybe shift the strip so that the excess part goes into the fender?

They actually do surprisngly well, i ran them for over a year without a hitch..

Mido nice job, looks good on the car

And they are bright as hell at night. Alot of ppl in my building use to comment on how good they look.. sometimes us in the car forums i find get a little too picky.

OH BTW: you can cut the led stirps, make sure you cut from the end without the wire! lol you need to cut in 3's as the LEDs are wired iin a series of 3. once you cut, make sure to seal the end of the strip with some silicone

O i see They cost a lot too 100 buks surprise they burn out fast. Don`t get me wrong they look good especially at night time

Hmmm If those big style leds are burning out maybe try putting in some lower resistors. And running them in the house for a couple of months to see how they do just a thought

    Thanks Guys!

For the cutting i actually had to cut those ones they were too long already. I believe it was 120 cm so i cut it down to 90.

Winters almost here, we'll see how it lasts.

I applaud anyone that does a DIY mod. So kudos for that. But IMO, I've never been a fan of LED's on the headlights (unless it's an actual Audi).

I'm not a huge fan of LED lights on the front of the car; it sort of looks like Christmas lights. I think it may look nicer closer to the bottom, perhaps where the fog lights would be. To each his own though; so if you're happy with it, then it's a good mod.
