    Default Tailgate rubbing rear bumper

I didn't notice it until I went camping this past week, but the edge of my tailgate must be grazing the top of my bumper while it closes, or maybe while I'm driving somehow.

Yes I know everything is filthy... I just came back from camping.
    Here's the door:

I know that I'll have to sand down the rust and repaint the area... but how do i stop this from happening more and more?

P.S... I don't know why the pictures are coming up so huge... They're not hosted that big at all.

(off of tapatalk) it looks like the tailgate has the rust, and the marks on the bumper is just rusty-water run-off.

But I'm on tapatalk and the pics aren't showing it's best

Did you get tapped from behind, pushing up the bumper? Or is the tailgate shutting too far?
