Hey guys I need your help with the colour of the calipers. Still on the fence. I would like to keep red in the mix because I bought red lugs and I also like black so...

Option 1: red calipers with a black Mazda decal

    or

Option 2: black calipers with a red Mazda decal

(my choice before I got the lugs was black calipers with white Mazda decal but I wanted a bit more colour...)

    So what do y'all think???

Option 2. When are you installing your springs? Got mine today but got to decide on a day to get them put on by Jimmy.

Option 1- if you want more of a distinct look

Option 2- if you want the stealth look

IMO, I like the subtle look, nothing too aggressive, so option 2.

Thanks for your input. I will go with your opinions and go option 2. Black with red Mazda decal. I agree with that. I think that will give it enough colour with the red lugs.

Springs? May do it during March Break or near the end of March after I get my calipers done and wheels + tires mounted. Depends on if I can get hold of Jimmy. Haven't tried yet.

Not a bad idea. It would be a non-functional one. But may lay off that one until next year or this fall. Got a lot of things to install first. Will post pics of other stuff soon.

The car already looks awesome in stock with the tint and all. It will look meaner as soon as the GP rims get installed and after it is slammed. However, I really think Option 1 will seal the deal. The red caliper will complement the GP rims more......can't wait till you get your mods done! Yeah!

Hey Timotee. Thanks! I wasn't sure about the calipers colour but I will probably stick with Option 2. Either one would look good I think. I will post a few of my purchases for the car soon.

Loving the car, great colour choice! (I'm probably biased haha). Definitely interested to see how your mods turn out! I've eyed those GP racing rims in the classifieds before so I'm really curious as to how it will look on our car colour. As for the caliper painting, I'd personally go with Option 2, I think it'll look sick!

Thanks Freakzaz. Love your colour choice too! Great mod choice on your car too. I am going for 92% dark tints rather than red. But contemplated that too. Your RX-8 rims are going be amazing on your car. I am curious to see how the caliper colours and rims and lugs will look on my car. Great idea to put in the strut bar later. I heard that is a good next step after the prokits.

Well here are the new mod purchases...

OEM rain visors - as Flipdady said, "It has Mazda on it." Selling point!
PIAA super sporza silicone - pricey but great quality... or so I heard

Axela badge for the JDM look
    Thinking of Plastidding badges...

More purchases to keep the car clean and shiny - detailing stuff...from a couple of sources

Here's the Mitsuba Dual Tone Proud Horns I bought when I was in Japan which was installed about 1 month ago. It is 113dB. So it's louder than the stock high tone horn but not as loud as Hellas.

Simple yet awesome winter mode. Where you able to get the wheel covers locally or via ebay? Been looking around and could only find them in the US.

And don't get me started on the Wolfgang man, ordered online? Am drooling right now.

Hey Timotee. Got the wheel covers from Avante Mazda at a great price. You can probably get them from Mazda of Toronto from Joe aka Flipdady on the forum. Will be selling mine if you are interested - 1 winter only. Will be using the 17" stock rims for winter next year.
As for the Wolfgang sealant and products. Yes they are amazing. That spritz sealant is amazing. Use sealant first then top off with a carnauba wax for maximum shine. You can get that stuff from eshine, a sponsor here. If you are patient enough send eshine your name etc and they will give you a TM3 code for a discount. It takes them
about 2-3 weeks to get back to you. No discounts on discounted products I believe.

Sure, just let me know how much if and when. I am also looking at a set of 16" OEMs for my winter set up. If it does not push through, I might end up getting steelies and will eventually get the covers for them.

If you end up going with 16" steelies let me know. I will most likely change over to my 17" oem rims for winter for no reason whatsoever except for the look. Lol. I have a set of Michelin XiceXi2 on steelies (bought everything new at Costco) on my car now. So will probably sell them at a good price and I will probably throw in the wheel covers and lugs.

Well just got back from SP about 1 hour ago. Jimmy installed my Eibach prokits. It looks interesting lowered with my steelies. May post a picture after a wash. He also recommended that I not change over to the Hawk HPS pads right away because I have 80% left in the front and 90% left in the rear. So that's another 35k-40k left. Appreciate his honesty and told him I'd install them with him at a later date.

I also noticed some squeaking after the install but having read some posts I think it's normal until it settles. One other thing was the brakes started making a clicking sound. He said it may be the water that got into the brake pads when he drove it around the building. I drove it around to dry it and it seemed fine. Will check tomorrow again.
