I purchased the 2010+. Give Jimmy a call from SP. He always has his bluetooth in his ear so he's pretty good about answering calls. Oh yeah, bring ca$h.
Well the verdict is that I did notice a difference when cornering, turning or changing lanes. Not exactly on rails but the car doesn't roll or lean nearly as much if you know what I mean. It also looks better without the SUV wheel gap...lol (love that term). It is definitely an improvement.
The other creaking noises are decreasing as the prokits are starting to settle in. The other clicking noise with the brakes is gone. Jimmy was right, it was the water from the puddles that wet the brakes when the car was driven spiritedly by Jimmy around the building. So the verdict for me is.
Thanks buddy. Good to know that the ride is good. Heard from a relative that the was a bit bumpy. Just wanted to confirm if you did feel this.
By the way, do PM me please about the steelies package. Just want to have figures in front of me just in case.
You should be excited by now, knowing that the GP rims will be installed shortly. I know I am, at least for you.....![]()
Yup thanks for the info Jackal! Glad to hear they do their job well. But like Timotee is asking, how's the ride quality... harsh in any way? Plus when you get those lovely GP rims on, "SUV wheel gap" will be non-existent! and I'm probably meeting my friend, whose a mechanic, as he offered to install it earlier, but thanks anyways.
Looks like I'm the only Graphite Mica in this thread which is still bone stock.LOL
Soon Timotee soon!!
Can't wait to install the GP rims. But I will wait until the end of March to do the changeover in case it snows (even a bit). Glad to hear you have a mechanic friend who will install your prokits.
Not really bumpy. I was surprised that it wasn't bumpy. I was expecting it to have a really hard ride like riding on pieces of steel (lol) but there is still some bounce when you hit a bump or other. I guess that's why they got the Eibach sportlines which would be a bumpier ride. Actually it's more comfortable than I thought.
Heading off to Simply Tire tomorrow to do my calipers. Tempted to get my GP rims on but will wait till the end of March. So the lovely calipers will be hidden by the wheel covers....![]()
More pics...
Took this after a wash this afternoon...changed something here again this evening...
Dropped on Eiback Prokits

Calipers done at Simply Tire today - black with red Mazda decal (thanks for the help in choosing) - no pic because of steelies
The clean look...What do you think? I think I will leave it like this for a while and later put on the Axela badge...
PIAA Super Forza Silicone Wipers... I think I have it on correctly...spoiler down...
Dropped on Eiback Prokits...looks a bit lower...Rally Armors are hitting the ground more often lol.

Nice! The calipers will definitely be unveiled as soon as the GPs take center stage. Love the wipers man. Those Lamin-X sure hit the spot. Now I know what my first mod will be.
So I take it the Axela badge will go to where the "2.5" used to be?
Happy Modding.. It's always great to check out these members ride threads and see the transformation from stock to current setup!

+1 vote on side sills! definitely one of the best add-ons![]()
Just a little follow-up on the prokits. I thought that they pretty much settled until I had a couple of people in the car. It squeaked a bit as it settled in the parking lot until I got on the road, then it stopped.
So if you want it to settle a bit faster try a passenger or two in the back.
I think I am getting pretty good mileage for a GT. I don't think I am driving like a grandma. Lol.

I have been doing some reading but don't have it quite straight. What is the difference between a front strut bar and a front sway bar? I read that I should get both the front and rears done at the same time. I have been looking into Corksport, Eibach, Mazdaspeed or something like you have. Anyone please feel free to chime in. I will probably do this in the middle of summer. At first I was thinking front strut and rear sway but now maybe front and rear sway...confusion...
can't wait to see your new rims on your car.
you either create, or you follow.

Finally got the rims on. Look pretty good in my opinion. Just some iPhone pics for now. I really need to take some side shots of the car for another angle.
