exactly! ...why tell them when ur premiums will go up/or have your insurance getting canceled ... anyways tho risking your insurance to go up , the money that your paying extra could just pay for the mods that you might of lost in a accident.. ,never tell your insurance company about mods and if they come out to look at the car ... put everything engine related back to stock cause i know bel air direct is starting to do that...

Well i was in a accident around febuary complete write off but the only thing i had on that car was intake and exhaust , they wernt really concerned about that at all but depends on the company .... I think lol

This is true. It really depends on the adjuster.
Suspension, wheels and visual mods are a dead giveaway for them to look deeper and they CAN deny you coverage.

If you are paying for full coverage and they deny you anything because the vehicle has been altered, why were you paying all that extra money?

When giving advice, I tend to err on the side of caution. Because I jumped off my roof and didn't hurt myself, doesn't mean everyone would. I would not tell everyone to go and jump off of my roof, knowing full well that they COULD get hurt.

Let's just say, read your policy, speak to your agent anonymously and record them if you want, otherwise, you may not have a leg to stand on.

Also for those making payments, if insurance doesn't cover the car in the event of a write off, payments still need to be made.

I really debated on getting the GAP protection, I figured I'd chance it knowing my commute was so short. I would have thought twice if I was driving my car to toronto everyday.
