    You talking to me? You don't like my idea of fixing the pulley with a bearing rather than replacing the whole thing.
    Its not helpful to offer people other options? Isn't that what this forum is for? If not then I guess we should all stick with going to the dealer for repairs.

    Its better to ignore negative comments. My opinion is; any opinion or suggestion is welcome, if its under the pretense of being helpful.

    As for me, I've had a very slight noise from my tensioner pully for years. I just ignore it as it is so slight. Plus can't hear it with the system playing .

    370k and still the same tensioner. Its amazing really, the quality built into these Mazda's'.

    My tick tick ... was actually rod bearing issue.

    When it comes to the pulleys you gotta remember there are how many , 3 ?
    Plus the water pump and AC that the belt that can be squeaking and ticking and grinding light noises.
    All the solenoids can be all be tip tack and tacking away as she gets older....
