you need an oil pressure sandwich adapter for your oil filter. Oh but wait, you have drop in paper oil filters right? I read somehwere you can get a conversion so you can use spin on filters?
I think most people do the Spin-on oil filter conversion so they can use the sandwich plate. I think that is the simplest option. The other option is to actually tap into the oil lines somewhere.

GONE: Apparently too many cars to list in the signature....
so all i would need is a sandwich plate and im good to go?
And the spin on conversion if it has not already been done.
the 07 met have it already since mine does & i didnt get a conversion done

I assume u have a 2.0L? Those came from the factory with spin on filters. The 2.3L were the ones that used the cartridge filters.
ok awesome, so where does someone obtain a spin on conversion kit lol. Can i get it at a dealer?
there you go buddy

Quick question, since I'm not fully familiar with the Mazda 2.3L engine yet, but are there no threaded plugs in the engine block or head to screw an electronic oil pressure gauge sender into?
Only reason I ask is that in my POS 2.0L Dodge engine there are numerous threaded plugs, all you have to do is spin one out and spin in the sending unit.
Oh man dont forget to change your headlight fluid!!!!
lol
lol if you heard this one prank call online you wouldve known kinda off topic but its funny
You can use the stock oil pressure sensor with a T'd -an/NPt fitting and stainless line on the 2.3
Hey everyone, just a quick question. I am about to order a Prosport Sandwhich plate for my oil pressure gauge but on their website there are a few options to choose from. Can someone please clarify which one i need..... http://prosportgauges.com/oil-filter-adaptor-plate.aspx
I guess there are 5 different sizes... One of them says its for the mazda 6, but would this work for my 07 mazda 3?
anyone........
i would say best bet is contact prosport gauges and ask
ZOOM ZOOM???
I believe you need the M22. I have the M20 and was reading last night that it does not fit. Try searching M3F and you will find your answer. I was going with the spin on conversion and adapter plate, but I plan on splicing off of the factory oil line now.
Is not here
Yeah i was going to get the spin on conversion kit from Joe @ MOT. and then pick up the oil adapter plate from prosport. But i contacted Prosport and they were not able to tell me what size to get. They said i need to find out what the thread pitch is of the center bolt on the spin on conversion kit. So i guess i need to call Joe @ MOT
Sorry the threadjack; has anyone installed an oil pressure gauge by tapping into the oil ports on the head (as seen in the pic I stole from) http://www.mazdas247.com/forum/showt...ressure-Gauge)?
Didn't see this until now....
You need the 3/4"-16 Sandwich adapter if you have the spin on conversion. Some smart guy has the info here: http://www.torontomazda3.ca/forum/sh...azda3-FAQ-INFO
