Weird ticking noises wile driving....

Hey guys im getting these weird ticking noises wile drive i can hear it best when im going down hill with it in gear but not stepping on the gas much.. exhaust is loud it sound the same that our cars do when they idle but i have never heard it before wile i am driving should i be worried?

2.3l 2008 with 80k

Where is the ticking coming from? Passenger side, engine, Transmission, CAI?
Try parking somewhere, put on park and rev the engine, see if you can hear where the ticking is coming from.

Hm, could be engine mount broken. If its under warranty, bring it to the dealership or bring it to street performance and let jimmy look at it.
I hear ticking noises too coming from the engine, brought it to jimmy and he said there was no problem at all, could be from thinking too much lol.....

yeah, its weird like im used to the engine making ticking noise.. its the same noise you hear when the car idles but i now hear it when im moving and i dont remember this ever happening before ... gotta take it into the deal.. to far away for jimmy his shop is 1100km away lol

Same kind of issue here 2004 2.3L mazda 3 all sounds fine when gas pedal is free or has pressure on it, I find at a steady hold of acceleration or around the 3000 rpm mark the ticking occurrs. Not sure why? Lifters, Cams? Had a cavalier with a tick noise much louder but constant even at idle was cams or lifters...

Sooo bad news with this ticking noise which Mazda diagnosed as intake manifold!! Today highway 404 and steeles my engine blew up. Done!! Now what? Worth another engine?
