215s would give you lots of clearance. So if you want to be on the safe side go with those.

Hey guys,
I'm picking up a set of BBS LM replicas, and the dimensions are the following:
17x8
5x114.3
+25
73mm hub
"Will it fit?" Haha. And also, what size tires would go well with it?
Thanks!
wow +25, won't fit without some serious fender work plus camber.
typically a +45 on 8" rim is safe with say a 225/45 tire, maybe a bit of rub if you're lowered.
NO CREW
Yeah, thanks sawatsky..The seller gave me the option of +25 offset and +42 offset. I just got off the phone with a rim and tire specialist and he told me to go with the +42 unless I want to run into the problems you just mentioned. He also recommended a low profile tire, so 225/40/17 should work according to him... Any thoughts?
I will be getting coilovers installed next spring, so I want to make sure that everything I get will be smooth.
that all sounds good to me.
though I'm only on pro-kits so I wouldn't know what happens when you go lower than 1 1/2".
you could just run a narrower tire, maybe 205/40 and roll your fenders to make it fit? I was running 225/35/19 on a 9.5" +27 offset (was +42 but put a 15mm spacer on) wheel in the rear with just a roll, no camber adjustments and dropped on KW coils. I only rubbed over really huge bumps
Basically, I wanted to know if the below rims specs will fit on a GT, as well as what tire sizes would you recommend?
Suspension - will be on either H-techs or Prokits
Wheel size - 17
Wheel Width - 8 front, 9 rear
Wheel Offset - 35 front, 38 rear
Tire Size - any recommendations?
Spacers - Are they required?
Thanks.
resident "Bouncer"; all-around nice guy ...
Is this your 2010?
Either / or. Both the 2007 and 2010 are GT's.
I haven't been able to sell the 2007, so I still have it.
So with that said, these rims could go on either, but I don't know if they'll fit.
If they don't fit, what would I need to make them fit?

The 2010's have deeper wheel wells, so fitment will be different.
2010 Black Mazdaspeed 3 - Lightly modded
So with that said, how will they fit for both the 2007 GT Sedan and the 2010 GT Hatch?
Again, here are the specs:
Suspension - will be on either H-techs or Prokits
Wheel size - 17
Wheel Width - 8 front, 9 rear
Wheel Offset - 35 front, 38 rear
Well, my wheels are 17x8/9 et 38 all around. so your rear fitment would be similar to mine on the 07.
Up front you would probably have fitment similar to the evo x wheels which are 17x8.5 et 38 if I recall, you might also have fitment very similar to Aitch up front as I think his specs are in and around there.
Tire sizing on the 07 I would recommend 215/40 provided you are going to roll your fenders, if not you would probably have to run staggered rubber with 205 up front and 215 out back.
With the 10 you could probably go with 225 40s and be fine (and have pretty well no stretch).
GWN or SWF would be a bit better to talk to about 2010 sizing.

Will these fit? Pretty sure they will but you guys know more than I do. I might offer him less, they're kind of beat up
The following combo fits fine on a 2010 MS3, not lowered:
17x9 RPF1's
ET45 (45mm)
Tires: 235/40R17 Toyo R888's.
Next year, I plan to run 255/40R17 Hankook RS3's. I understand this combo will only rub at stock height if there are passengers in the rear, so I will probably roll the rear fenders.

Chris,
I ran 18x8.5 +38 all around on my 05. I was lowered on coilovers (~2 1/4" front drop and 2 1/2" rear drop) and had 3* rear camber and 1.7* front (IIRC). I ran 225/40/18, and rolled my rear fenders. Fronts they did fit, but I would recommend running 215/40/18, as I had issues running Pirelli tires (more square sidewall) vs a more rounded sidewall (cant recall tire brand off the top of my head, some chinese brand). Rears I still had clearance so you should be able to fit the 9" +38 offset. I didn't run camber links, so if you have that you will be able to fit even more aggressive wheels.

If you don't go too low, it shouldn't be very hard for you to fit those wheels.
