ooo thats not good news lol.... Im lookin to put the star specs on my car as well.... a little disappointed to see that they dont have a 225/40/17.... only a 215/40/17
What's the biggest spacer you can use without extending lugs, 5, 8mm?
I'll tell you tomorrow..... having a go at fitting 5mm spacers on my rear hubs. I would expect 8mm is not possible without longer lugs though.
Dave, did you use longer lugs with your 5mm spacers (or did you ever use them)?
No I didn't but I was just at the border of safe.
im running 8mm spacers with stock studs
Sounds good, I was able to squeeze 8mm on my msp, with tuner lugs. Ran all year like that, it's close but ok lol.
So i got my rims installed
18x8 +48 with 215/45/18s and stock suspension. How do i know if im rubbing? (although the chances with stock suspension is unlikely)
Sometimes when i have the wheel turned all the way, i get paranoid that it'll rub the inside.
trust me if you rub you will know... this is from my facebook
and your fenders will look like this
.9" closer to the fender, at stock height, would that cause problems?
Oh damn, that sucks. Oh well, I stopped reading the Speed section because according to certain people only speed owners are allowed to even look at that section.
what wheels? hatch sedan?
rims are 17x7 +47 and 17x8 +47
225/45/17 tires all around
lowered on apex 1.2" drop
do you think i need to worry about camber wear?
lowered - 1.2
Wheel size - 17
Wheel Width - 7 front and 8 rear
Wheel Offset - + 47
Tire Size - 225/45/17
sorry didnt see the format from first post
do I need to worry about camber wear?
Had camber wear on my old tires, even though I got an alignment, but those tires were 235 45 17 ( possibility?)
please advise.

should be ok have them check it anyway
just picked up some 17x8 rpf1s +45 currently have 215 45 tires lowered on prokits... i dont rub now but im gonna be looking at getting a wider tire and curious to know:
1. how wide can i go with an 8"
2. would a 225 45 rub without rolling?

A little off topic, but does anyone know if 225/45-17 tires on 7" rims and no lowering involved...would there be any rubbing issues, just stock set up.
thanks guys
