    Default Gen 2 shocks/struts on a Gen 1?

Has anyone put the Gen 2 shocks/struts in a Gen 1 speed? I have a set of Gen 2 struts and was wondering what it would be like to put them in my car (gen1) with some pro-kits.

i'm running "gen2 ms3" rear konis (they're volvo S40 that have the same mounting point as the gen2)

The space between each side of the shock and the bolt hole ("ear") is 7.5mm. Prior to the install, Fobio had picked up some washers that were 2.5mm thick each (with an ID slightly bigger than 1/2") so we used 3 per side (6 per shock).

the front struts, can't speak for those
