+1... getting warranty work done as we speak at Agincourt Mazda. Brought my ride there on Monday picking it up tomorrow. B pillar rust and back fenders done as well. I take care of my car pretty well and it's parked indoor and my car still rust. My warranty will end by year end so decided to get it done now.

Really looking forward to see the outcome tomorrow.

Rust warranty is longer (correct me if I'm wrong).

5 year manufacturer warranty on paint/rust. I purchased a 2007 sedan brand new on Nov 2006.

When i had my car in for rust work, they replaced everything (doors, a lot of metal around the wheel wells, trunk.... but they gave me some BS story about how the something channels (b pillar cover things) are NOT covered. In the end, it cost 40$ to replace all 4 (just had to pay for parts, not labor) so considering they did about $2000 worth of work, 40 wasn't a big deal and i paid without any complaints. I duno if they were lying to me, but either way, not the end of the world.

Every 04-06 mazda I have seen has rust there, and i'm sure the others will start soon.
Canada gave us rust and DRL. Thanks for nothing Canada!

My rears were replaced, front is rusting now. Might get it fixed this year when my car goes back for my sideskirt issue if they will do it.

Both sides of mine were replaced last year, they replaced the entire shell under warranty. I was told there is a 7yr warranty when I bought my 05 and I got it done last year which was 5 yrs and 3 months since I bought the car.

worse comes to worse I'm going to grind the bitch down and weld in some metal, I honestly don't feel like repainting a door and swapping all the internals when I can repair it, this shit is such a piss off.

I had the same issue on my wife's Mazda5... the part is replacable, and fairly inexpensive, if you are out of warranty, you could always replace it your self.
    Damn you photobucket.....

I have some bubbles building up on my car a well.. Seems like mine has been bombarded with all the bad luck in the world.. Do you know how much that would cost to get replaced??

Like i just said, 42$ for me in QC, for all of them brand new.

And no, you haven't been bombarded with bad luck, every single mazda3 has this problem, rustproofed or not, babied or not. IMO its not really worth it unless you your car is spotless besides that, its $42 better spent elsewhere in the scheme of things, because the new ones will eventually rust too

Yeah, that's the one I was referring to as well.. What I meant by being "bombarded by all the bad luck" is that I've also got rust building up in the rear fenders. And as Cab0oze said, $42 is a pretty good price to get rid of all that rusted pillars.... Saves you the headache of thinking about it every single day (at least that's what's happening to me)....

There were talking about the window channels I believe (small ones between the 2 back windows)

EDIT: (I guess i stand corrected but when mine was done those pillars are welded and whole door shell needed replacing so i still dont see how those are $40 )

Its possible I got scammed, i dont trust em stealerships. This is coming from the dealer that replaced my doors, but kept my 2.3 badges because 'after they are removed the adhesive is not sticky and they cannot be put back on'. I had to fight with people for 3 hours before they finally agreed to put them back on. When they did, they came out with a armful of used ones to ask me which ones were mine. I was like wtf why do you have over 30 of these...

I got a chip there which led it to rust and was told "wear and tear"...no bubbling . Maybe i'll just CF vinyl em all.

For the 3's it's 5 years with unlimited km's. The 04 and 05 3's have been officially extended to 6 years. I don't know if the 6's are different though.

I had the B-pillars on both of my rear doors replaced recently under warranty. They actually cut them off and welded in new ones.
