Default For those of you thinking of buying a new iMac

Seems that Apple is further restricting what we can do to our iMacs...

Meh, doesn't bug me. One of my 7 year old iMacs is still running flawlessly. I don't plan on ever replacing the hard drive.

Isn't apple famous for this kind of thing? I have 6 fans in my PC running at 2000 rpm 24/7 plus whatever the 120mm psu fan runs at. I also just put in my window a/c unit. I can't sleep without noise anymore. There's a ringing in my ears that gets louder and louder until I make a noise if my computer and a/c are off.

I'll believe it when I see it. I'll need to see more reports of it. I've always used a fan speed controller software on my iMac anyway. I'm sure it would work fine with that as well. I'm still good for a few more years with mine so I'me not worried anyway.
