Noobs posting about vinyl wraps, do you even know how much a full wrap would cost? your looking into the thousands, yes thousands, labour ain't free and vinyl is just as hard to apply over an entire car than it is to paint it.
What do you mean realize I couldn't afford it? I never said that... as for the vinyl, it was never in my mind to vinyl the car because as I stated previously I wasn't sure how it would hold up in the winter.

Dont expect anything less than $5000 to do a proper job.
To paint your car a whole different color requires trim pieces to be removed on your doors and some parts in your engine bay.
And also the body shop has to prep the surface properly for a finish that will look like it came from factory.
I payed $2200 for the hood, front bumper, rear bumper with reflectors patched, rear hatch door, rear flares, front lip, front grill and rear spoiler.
My paint prior to repainting was 7mil and after it was done i read 21mil, meaning they did a really good job.
i think $5000 would give you a phenomenal job and it would last a very long while. Anyways Mazda paint is crap lol repaint it.

think hard about what you want to spend.
If your budget is $2000. Then just get a $2000 paint job.

IMHO $5 G's to paint our cars isnt worth it. I dont care how properly done it is

You could take that $5k, combine it with whatever you get from selling the car, and get a whole new car, a newer car, and one in the colour you want.

This all depends on how much he gets for the car and if he can find a car he likes in excellent condition.
At the end of the day these are suggestions, tips and references you do what you want with your money.
But it is a 2005 Mazda 3 and there are lots of rust issues with our cars so i would suggest trying to sell and buy better.
If it was a 2008 Mazda 3 than thats a different story.
