Congrats and Welcome. Looks like my 2010 GS only the fogs didn't come with mine!! I agree, the 2011 GX seems to be coming with a lot the 2010 GX didn't come with!!

Actually the GX didn't come with everything you see. I added the following as options:
Cruise Control w/ volume control on steering wheel
engine block heater
mud guards front
mud guards rear
wheel locks
weathertec digital fit front and back liners (with Mazda logo) Color: black
4 x 15" winter steel rims (original Mazda - hub centric)
fog lights
antitheft engraving (Sherlock)
tinting (ceramic - 70% all around)
Protex clear protective film installation on front of hood and sill plates
I would like to maybe add a lip spoiler. It would have been good to negotiate it into the purchase price of the car since I got all the options listed above at less than half the price they list on the website.
The pictures were taken after claying and applying a sealant and carnauba wax.
I will rustproof in the summer.

Why do people rustproof in the summer?? Who wants oil constantly dripping out from the doors and trunk when you're trying to keep the thing clean...? Blows my mind. The car isn't going to rust that fast, its rustproofed from the factory.

Globex, I was waiting to see if anyone spotted the other Mazda 3. That is my neighbor. She loves her M3. She has a 2010 in charcoal. She said she likes my color now that she sees it. Both are nice.
For rustproofing, I know the owner of Duratech and went to see him this Saturday. He said the best time to rust proof is when it's really hot and dry. The product will be better able to get into all the seams. He recommends I treat it once every 2 years. The product they have is now practically non-drip. I'm just debating if I should just spray underneath or have them drill the holes.

Ohh, well the metal comes with its standard rust resistant coating, paint, etc etc. Thats all I meant, not that it comes sprayed with nasty oil

I think things are heating up here already so will likely rust proof it in a couple of weeks. I got it at Albi in Mascouche.
I'm getting a ton of compliments about the color. It will look even better after I do the next detailing job on it. I'll add a coat of glaze and then re-seal and wax it with carnauba. That will really give it a wet look.

You do your own detailing? You should do mine, too....
I'm taking mine to Grand Motors tomorrow morning. Phil is supposed to do a great job.
