GI - Gran Turismo 5 TM3 Racing League

Given the warm reception to Mitchell3's idea for a Forza3 tournament (Xbox 360), I'm starting a thread to gauge interest in an equivalent league in Gran Turismo for PS3 owners.

Figure we can start things off with the Axela 23S, and maybe a set limit on mods (perhaps stock or a low limit, around 425PP?). Maybe also set a regular night, like other day-of-the-week mini meets?

Not a fan of ramming, but as n00b mentioned in the other thread since it's a race for fun/laughs it's not a big concern.

If anyone needs an Axela 23S, I have four of them and would be happy to lend them until you're lucky enough to spot one of your own in the used dealership.

Since we can take up to 12 people in a race, let's see if there are that many interested!

I was starting to get into it before the network crash. havent played much since.
Ugh but this means I have to figure out my bluetooth all over again for this . Anyone here have bluetooth or would I be talking to myself?

Don't really do any online races so I hadn't set it up before, but I have a Bluetooth earpiece that I don't use anymore (since the Mazda has Bluetooth built in).

Guess I'll have to try to get it ready to go.

Licences don't serve any game-related function in GT5, by my understanding.

Useful learning tools, but AFAIK they're no longer a barrier to any content.

wow surprised I just found this thread now, as for "not playing since the outage" or whatever, the newest update just made this game EVEN BETTER! I would go in to detail about everything added, but better to just play and find out yourself! LOVE THIS GAME! It's the reason I bought a PS3!

Licenses don't do as much as they did in previous games, however you do get rewards/prizes/cars from winning or finishing them, plus you can't say "I beat the game" until you have ALL GOLD anyways

Also wanted to point out the room max is 16... not 12! so we have a day set for this?? I am on more or less all weekend and various weeknights!

also, That honda civic seasonal event is unreal. Its so easy and you get 300k for each race.

They've temporarily tripled the rewards for all the seasonal races, hence the high payout. Was mentioned in the update news.

I've been milking the Supercar Challenge for all it's worth... Easy guaranteed money in my Citroën GT, or if I want an actual challenge I'll run it in my Spirit R FD3S.

this could be some fun. id be interested! is there any dates in mind yet? but like the others have said since the network crashed i havent played much. plus i recently purchased infamous 2 and finshed that in hero now time for evil.

No specific dates/times in mind yet... But something on a otherwise quiet weekday night might be fun. If we set it on a Friday/weekend people will probably be out and about or otherwise too busy to play.

Made a couple signatures if anyone wants to help make this a bit higher-profile, so that more people notice and join in.
