Lightbulb Turbo Inlet Advice needed ASAP buy or not to buy!!!

so i read that the turbo inlet allows more air flow into the turbo therefore increases performance, BUT it was said more than once that the TIP alone does not allow for significant power gains alone, the car should have been chipped and have an exhaust in order to really benefit from this.

can anyone confirm or deny this?

I only have a COBB SRI on my vehicle and am not completely sure if it is at all benficial. I do not know if the TIP is 2.5" or 3" chances are I will see great power gains with a 3" from my little experience I dont see that I will get a performance increase with something the same size (although better designed)

    please help

It won't add a huge amount of HP, but it will rev much quicker than the stock plastic inlet. For $160 or so for a Cobb turbo Inlet...is not so bad for a little mod.

if you plan on modding the car further in the future I would go for it as you will eventually get one anyway. With that being said the stock inlet is shite.
