I have to admit that after reading this post about these aftermarket HVAC knobs I had to track them down to order, took alittle while to arrive (about 4 weeks) but once I installed them I loved them. They really look awesome especially at night glowing red looking cool. Surprisingly this simple mod is one of my most favorite and least expensive lol.

It is extremely simple.

As simple as you can get. Pop off the old knobs by hand, and pop in the new ones. Done.

still rocking mine. Got them on ebay for $12. The ring slipped off one of them. I think the car got too cold and the glue just cracked, put a bit of a U-Glu strip on it and it hasn't come off since. Been almost a year now. Need to find a set for a Gen2

They're fine. Pretty sturdy. Not like they take a beating. I would recommend them.

in case someone doesn't like white back-light on the knob for second gen... simple method to change the colour..

Just a heads up, for those who feel like it, the outer (aluminum?) ring pops off the plastic (clear) part. So you can paint/dip to your hearts content. Then just glue them back on.
