    Default tire size question

    hey, guys.
quick question: will 195/65/R15 tires, with 5-114.3 bolt pattern fit my 2010 3 (2.0)?
shopping around for new winter shoes and people are suggesting to go a size smaller. not sure if its a good idea. how much would it affect my speedometer gauge, if at all?
    thanks.

Tires don't need your bolt pattern but your wheel width and diameter.

If your wheel is 16" then yes it will fit.
Apparently I was told the smaller the width of the tire is, the more mileage you get out of your tank. It won't affect your speedometer unless you're downsizing or up sizing diameter

I go from 18's on my speed in summer to 16's in winter

195/65/15 is the smallest you can go with the least amount of speedo change (+0.4%). Click: Link

I have a set of 205/65/15 for sale (+2.5% change) if you're interested in working out a deal.

FYI, I'm pretty sure latter setup would rub on a Mazda3.

Tires don't clear the brakes, wheels do.

195/65/15 will work fine. Just make sure the wheel fits (Mazda3s are easy to fit, and shop should be able to)

You can always use 3mm universal spacers to clear the bore. Cost is $20~ from simply tire or gofortire.

Wheel bore 64.1 mm, hub bore 67.1 mm

wouldn't spacers only work if the numbers were reversed? I.e. to make this fit, the wheels need to be bored out?

If your getting OEM Wheels, you will have a hub bore problem. If your purchasing a used winter tire setup, they may have got universal steelies... in which case they would fit.

honda wheel bore is too small. a spacer will push the wheel away from the bigger mazda hub. it will sit on the edge/studs.

Is there any tolerance at all for smaller wheel bores?
For example, can a Nissan 66.1 fit?

In that case, here's a list that can prove useful:
