...and of course today it's like 15 degrees out.
I switched this past weekend since my summers were starting to get squirmy when getting on it with the cooler temps.
switched a week ago, need new rubber though
Sure why not if you're in Bizaro world. (Or if you're going mudding!)
I watch the temps during the hours I am on the road. For a lot of people they drive in the morning and early evening when it can be colder vs day time temps. So if your morning and evening commute is less than 7 it is a good idea to switch. And if you are driving a lot later at night when the temps dips towards freezing it's a good idea to have them on earlier and risk a bit of premature wear. Tires are relatively cheap compared to a shunt into a ditch or worse into another car.
I was thinking of doing the switch today, but I think I'll hold off another week. Definitely before the middle of November.
Back again for this year
running all seasons this time
Going back to MTL on Remembrance day week-end, thinking should I change it before or take care of it after the trip......don't really want to chill out with winter set up.

we switched to our winters about 2 weeks ago as the weather now can be unperdicatable, we live outside the gta, a few years ago i got caught on halloween night with just a light frost and i was on summer performace tires that choice costed me a car (rolled 3 times into a ditch) i now always switch early you cant cheap out on being safe to yourself on those on the road around you
Nov 1- changed my 3
Nov 3- change the parents taurus
Nov 5- changes the gfs 3
Nov 6 - changed the parents toyota
Nov 7 - changed the brother in laws 3.
Sadly I put the winters on over the weekend.
Considering the current temperatures, those that have winters but have chosen not to install yet are rather stupid imo. If you've got the tires, use them when it's appropriate (now).
looks like Toronto temperatures will be 10-15 C Friday to Monday. I'm getting my new winter tires on tomorrow evening. will these few days of higher temperatures do any damage to the tires? someone said to add a couple extra pressure to them?
