I went with 35% front and 15% back, which works and looks great on Sunlight Silver car. Difference between the two colours is not really noticable.
20% all around and I think it's perfect, it's not too dark at night bur still has the nice dark tint appeal.
Ended up with 23 front 17 back done at audio heaven
Anyone tinted their windshield?
20% front, back, sunfoor and visor strip.
I've got 20% on the front two and 5% on the back ones / front strip.
15% back rear sides sunroof and sun strip 35% front sides. I like it (its actually legal for one) and no so dark that I cant see anything at night. Made a hugee difference in heat soak and glare inside the car definatly worth the $200 it cost to get it done.
My eyes are super sensitive to light. I'm considering doing my windshield something like 50%. At night cars headlights hurt my eyes cause the contrast is terrible, and during the day even the reflection of the sun off cars/buildings/etc. are killers. Haven't put too much thought into it but I've considered it as an option for some time now.

+100000 on the sunglasses lol jesus that is fairly obvious.
Are you lowered? That would contribute to the glare ALOT.
I know when i drive a full size pickup at night i feel like i can see for miles compared to my speed just from being up so high.
20% all around for me
if sunglasses are enough there always this tint from Auto-Links that might do the trick: http://www.torontomazda3.ca/forum/sh...ic-window-film
no idea how it is but remember seeing the post when it was first put up
I have glare problems with my eyes as well. It's mainly to do with contrasts.
Doctors notes don't trump some laws. This is most likely one of them.
If the problem is at night. Look for blue tinted glasses. It will help alot. As well wear a hat.
Depending on your age. It might be a good idea to have yourself tested for scotopic sensitivity syndrome. Works wonders for schooling. They will make arrangements for you ( photocopies on colored paper ect. ) or just do what I did and get a blue transparency sheet.
I was diagnosed about 12 years ago. Just knowing makes things better. There really isn't anything you can do but change habits and always carry advil ( lost of headaches. )
Guys, low tint is not obvious and it's not as hazardous as you're making
It seem. 50% or even 70% tint you wont be able to tell and it will make the difference on eye strain that I need. In terms of sunglasses I wear em during the day but at night I obviously can't. It's not THAT uncommon for someone to have a little tint on the windshield.
You can only have a certain amount of tint on the front windshield from the top down. Not exactly sure but the tint shop would know. In Caribbean countries, they are allowed to have tint down their whole windshield. Looks crazy but I wonder how they see at night!
20% all-around.
30% pinnacle all round.
