OEM Rotors

So i recently brought my 2011 mazda 3 GT hatch for an oil change, they provided me with a ffull inspection report and they listed my front and rear ROTOR THICKNESS at 10mm for the front, and 9 mm in the back. Now the car has 2650 km on it and driven half on the highway.

My question is, brand new, what is the thickness of the front and rear rotors? Could it be the measurements from the dealer were wrong? I hear no noises and the brakes are smooth and strong as ever.

i think on the sheet they gave me it said rotors....but what about pad thickness as well?

also the inspection sheet usually just say pad...no rotor.

i recently replaced my rear rotors, and that is the about thickness. most cars of this size/weight range between 8mm-13mm
most pads are a bit less, like 7mm-9mm again depending on the car. but 10mm sounds right.
usually you can tell with your eyes, because the top lip of the rotor and the bottom part of the rotor near where it attaches to the hub, doesnt get rubbed by the breaks. so if you see it starting to groove on the rotor it starts to go, id change it once the lip becomes like 1mm.
but man i wouldnt worry.

Pretty dumb they'd give mm for the pad thickness.. You are supposed to rate it as a percentage...

Yes, on my last visit to a dealer they gave the rotor thickness in mm. I forget what mine is.

Edit. Nope it says lining pad. Right below it is the rotors with the green yellow and red circles where one of them is checked.

yah i finally got a hold of the service record, its the pad they measured. guess the 10mm front and 9mm rear are like 99,9% life since the car has so few km and was driven half on the highway.

never had to replace pads on the acura csx that had close to 50,000 km all done with keeping a good distance and coasting. BEST way to prolong brake life is not to drive like an a-hole.

in my own fantasy world, id love to have a bag of rocks under the back of the car, that with a push of a button, get dumped all over the road pelting the car behind me, essentially destroying their car...but its just a fantasy lol
