Does anyone know where to get a car cover for a 2011 mazda3sport. I have a cat that is going on my brand new ride

You can't just use a car cover whenever you want to cover it up. If the car is not completely clean every time you will probably scratch the paint.

    I got what you meant.

Dirty car + car cover + cat taking a midnight stroll on your hood and roof won't be much better. Just shoot the cat.

I suppose it will be better but will ultimately ruin the paint. Just giving you a heads up.

lol I love cats and dogs (don't own any but have been around many friends pets regularly for years and treat them as my own) but sometimes you just want to make them disappear.

LOL, I was going to make a joke of the obvious solution by getting rid of the cat, but yours was much funnier. Note: I too like all animals....except those damn birds that SH!T bomb my car.

My neibours cat always goes on my car and has yet to do any damage ... But it still pisses me off... The cat leaves fur and palm prints all over my hood and roof....

    Um... Quick

I was planning on sewing myself my own car cover since I love sewing and I love my car....

Even though the car *should* be clean prior to putting any cover on it to prevent scratches, is there a "better" material I could use that would not be as scratchy as traditional car covers in the event it's not 'freshly detailed'? Like, could I use maybe a velour or a velvet? Or maybe a super crazy soft real leather?

LOL - Unless you have many microfibres that I can have to make a sizeable microfibre quilt to cover my car, then I don't think so.

I take my car to work everyday and have to park it in front of my house since my parents' cars get the two spots in the garage. I usually do the car starer every morning so that it's a little easier to scrape off the ice/snow from the windshields.

I was thinking about buying a protective cover, but only if it prevents ice/snow on the windshields so I'm not spending an extra 20 minutes trying to get snow off my car. If that's what I gotta do, then that's what I gotta do, but I'm hoping a car cover would help with that?

And If I do get a car cover, would using the car starter while it's covered be bad for the car?

    Any advice would be huge

Biggest mistake I ever made involved a car cover and winter. One night last winter they forcast freezing rain and lots of it.So I got the bright idea to throw the car cover on. Well we got lots of freezing rain but the cover was so heavy with the stuff I couldn't get it off of the car. I had to wait about two days before I could get the thing off the car.

There is small battery/ plug in heaters that are made specifically for placing in your car to keep ice off the windshield.

Check the "type r" section in crappy tire.

As for car covers for cats. With retractable claws I doubt that a car cover would be better then leaving it be. Seems kind of like a car hood scratching post to me.

    Vinyl the hood? Or 3m

So with the "type r" stuff do I just spray that onto my windshield every night?

Would you guys say I'm better off getting that as oppose to this:

I have tried those heaters in the past, they don't work worth a damn.

I was reading a tip in the Ottawa Citizen car section today, put some windshield washer in a spritze spray bottle, if you mist the windshield with washer fluid before freezing rain the ice won't stick to the windshield and just pushes right off. If you spray it on after it makes the ice easier to scrape off.

Ya the windshield washer thing works. I never tried the type r crap but was worth a suggestion.

As for the reflector it may work in the day time but not at night.

You could always try reptile supplies.

Specifically heat tape and a thermostat.

I'm actually in the process of building a kotatsu table for a friend, hoping to use some of my leftover heat tape as a heating element.
