If someone who has done the WWF method wants to help me install I am happy to try it, I would need the WWF check valve, T joints, WWF hose + adapter. So at this point is just seems simpler to install the tank I have, the bracket I have drawn out and measured will make installation of the tank + pump literally a bolt on. I will just have to wire up the controller and prime the pump after I get it all installed.
I know you put thought into these things, so put a little more thought into it:

Once you start running 100% meth, and tuned to the edge for it...then what if you ran aout nd 100km into cottage country with no meth around?

There are a lot more nuances to consider, and all the current implementations that I have worked with are middle-of-the-road solutions.

It ain't rocket science, and eventho personal preference is important, in this case, it is only that. Don't let anyone stop you from your vision, but tuning-wise 100% meth is not the solution to the K04...BT is tho.

I thought having some water actually cools it more than just straight meth, or am I imagining things?

Save the hassle of tapping the line, just drill a hole and use the tank tap.

P.S. if you had a gen1 then I'd suggest using the line, but on the gen2 it's too annoying.

Hypothetically you could just turn off your meth(gonna wire a switch to my pump/controller) and put a non meth map on but that's not any fun lol... I will probably go with whatever mix I can get locally and in the highest concentration. I know the WWF spiked with a bottle of heet does wonders so that might be my best option.

Since you have experience with the 50/50 I might just stick with that, if I hit 300hp I will be all giggles. I rather the engine and turbo be healthy then ripping themselves apart.

Not sure about the fluid dynamics/phyics about it but it has to do with the vapourization pressure, I was reading a long thread on MSF about 50/50 mixes vs 100%. The guy talking about it is a mechanical engineer and has done 100% meth on a bunch of his cars even after running 50/50 he noticed instant drops in BATs and EGT so he runs a crap done of boost and timing... he has done it for 3 years and no ZZB.

It's not hypothetical, you could just do that.

Saturday would be better. Anytime after 9 to about early afternoon I'm free. You'll need to grab stuff from loki first though if he's not coming.

So I was bored and found the forum that was talking about the 50/50 mix and 100% mix for meth:

"100% meth = cooler intake air charge (BAT) & minimal affect on EGT
50/50 meth/h2o = cooler intake air charge (but not as much as 100% meth) & cooler exhaust gas temps (EGT)

This is because of exactly what you show - the vaporization of the water in the combustion chamber is what lowers the EG temps. 100% meth wouldn't cool the EG temps as much, because as your chart shows, meth has a lower heat of vaporization.

Since the water doesn't vaporize until it enters the combustion chamber, it's mostly the 50% meth that is cooling the intake air chage - and it doesn't cool as much as 100% meth would..."

Taking what a lot of people have experience with, I will probably go with the 50/50 just to make life easy for now.

a 3.78L jug of the winshield washer fluid at Walmart (50/50) is $3

that's all I am going to say on the matter. At the end of the day, you can do whatever you want. As Fobio mentioned already, if you really want to keep your motor in great shape while making power you should throw the K04 in the garbage and get a bigger turbo

Ya the K04 runs out of juice up top and I don't see myself going BT anytime soon so WWF is all I need. Maybe go BNR after I see how mikey does with his

Are we still planning on doing an install this Sat?

    Who? What? When? Where?

My place is open, but I only have one spot in the garage, and anti-install neighbour across the street won't let us work on the driveway.

This bigass drill bit. I forgot the size, but you can just check on the DO website.

Patrick, are you somewhere between Markham and Burlington? If so, maybe we can borrow your place for the installs?

you also need a bigass drill bit to tap the coupler.

Also be carefull not to drill the hole in the coupler to large. Start small and work your way up or you end up with a big f****ing leak like fywdyl
