Got my M2 in 2010, but certain unexpected issues held me back from getting a bike the year after. Now I'm just a useless license holder.
But for my first bike I was looking to get a Suzuki SV650, or a CBR 600. Two different bikes. I hope to get myself on the road before my license expires. I wouldn't like to do those tests again. Although getting the M2 was fun.

Where did you go for your M2 training?

This spring/summer I'm going for my M1 and M2. I thought about starting out with either a Honda CBR250R or a Ninja 205R.

Anyone else have or planning to get a motorcycle?

150cc or 250cc is rly cheap to insure
my 250 is $377 a year
my Ducati 848 is $1150 a year

Have you looked into insurance? That's what's holding me back from getting a bike.

Not as yet, but I've heard it's usually cheaper than car insurance (correct me if i'm wrong)

insurance for a bike is the same as for a car when it comes to where you live but the price for insurance really depends on the type of bike that you own and how many years you have had your license, I have a 2007 GSXR600 and its costs me approx. $130.00 a month over a year. I have a friend with the same year bike but pays close to 300.00 becuase he has only had his license for a short period of time and he lives in the GTA.

Humber has an amazing course. I took it many years ago and did a refresher there as well.

Insurance can be extremely expensive for a young/new rider.
Here is my ride, old school now but still lots of fun and fast. i don't want to let you guys know what I pay for insurance so as not to discourage you. LOL. Old age has some benefits.

I was thinking RTI because they're cheaper. Just the distance from Weston road to there is the only bug for me. But hey, if you're down to go there, I will too. Maybe we can get a few other guys to go if they're interested

my gf and her dad went through learning curves. peter i believe is who runs it. met him sunday at the bike show. she got a wicked good price was cheaper then the other courses she called.

I just looked them up. They're cheaper than RTI. But it looks to be a seasonal price

RTI is closer to me and during the road course you can go to T&T for some cheap dim sum! Yeah!
