So i just picked this badboy up! I had my heart set on a DRZ400 but i just couldn't pass this one up...

    2010 KLR650 with 10,000kms

New tires, new battery, heated hand grips, upgraded skid plate, crash bars, USB power, back / side racks, panniers, gas tank bag. Also came with (Conveniently all in my size) Jacket, pants, boots and a bomb ass helmet.

Final price, 4500$ !!! And my insurance is going to hit about 580 for 6 months, with comprehensive from a third party for 330/yr

    The excitement is real

The regulation in BC is different, its all done through ICBC (Gov't) and there are some weird differences. I can do 3, 6 or 12 months.

That 580 covers just my liability. I will be getting a third-party policy to cover my bike / gear / fire / theft and i quoted that at about 330/year for that

I assume you could get the comprehensive coverage through ICBC as well but it's probably more expensive? Or is/was that not an option. I'm not sure how insurance works in BC.

Exactly. I can get the comprehensive through ICBC but the premiums are about 40% higher than other third parties

I've put 600km's on it in just about a week, having a grand old time booting around. Did a good ride on Sunday, 15km highway to a FSR, 75km's up it and 75km's back down. Saw a wolf for the first time in my life and MAN those things are MASSIVE

    Cheers!
