    Default Fidanza aluminum flywheel?

Just wondering if anyone has any experience with the Fidanza aluminum flywheel. I need a new clutch and flywheel, but would really like to avoid paying $1000 for the mazda oem part. The fidanza has a replaceable friction surface which seems like a great idea. I would probably just use it with a new stock clutch and pressure plate.

Most people have had good luck with the ACT clutches, they are cheap and work very well.

I had an Fidanza on my last car and while I liked the feel I would not buy it again. The teeth on the ring gear wore out after 2 years. Not to mention most people with them haven't had good luck with them on the Speed3.

the quality is crap and it's too light
every one that comes from the factory are very unbalanced... machinists I spoke to told me they had to take lots of grams off to get them to balance!

then the replaceable friction surface is a gimmick... the screws will be hard to take off and impossible to if the clutch wears out and scrubs into the friction plate

    there's better flywheels out there

I've used ACT and Bully on my previous cars and found the ACT better.

On my VW, I just had a machinist lighten it for me LOL. Never again.
