Default lower ball joints/control arms, has anyone delved into this?

So yesterday i noticed my drivers side lower ball joint was dead, grease spewing out of every orifice. Today i find out the control arm and ball joint are one piece. wtf
from the dealer its like 250

on my passat, the ball joint was seperate

    idiotic engineering.

anyways, I read on msf about dominant doing lower control arms, that they would be around 600. offer camber adjustment. I would prefer not to spend this much
I can get a control arm from standard auto wreckers for 105 bucks.

am i missing any other options? Ford focus control arms?
Oh damn, that sucks. Oh well, I stopped reading the Speed section because according to certain people only speed owners are allowed to even look at that section.

This is something I'm interested in as well.

I think someone looked into the focus balljoints and the taper was different so you can't use them.

I would try Canadian Tire, you never know if Monroe offers an aftermarket OEM replacement set.

Maybe we can cross reference another platform for something.

Maybe someone will make roll center adjusters for us. That would be the icing on the cake with Whiteline's anti-lift kit.

someone has used another platforms ball joints on our chassis, with success.

mazda3forums has it somewhere. IIRC they used BMW parts.

They sell OEM arms as well. They are not listed as Mazda but they are overstock from Mazda suppliers.

He wants $700 for both sides?

Mmm, if that the case you might be better off with oem arms and whiteline bushings with the corksport camber plates.

We'll know more when they are actually released.
