I'm up for that, since it is a video... You have my support and will help out, rims is the easy part but I have a bigger project which all of you will see it or even witness it during your meets. Just waiting on perfect timing with weather and may take 6 hours or less depending on beer.

Like I said Kal, here are the colors we have to play around with.

Metalizer which are gold and silver
    Red, Black, White
    Clear Coat
    Glossifier

Which is the best thing, no one else have it in stock.

Hmm... I really like the white gloss... Think that'd look good on the roof of my Orange hatch? Border it along the black gutters (leave 'em black) and carry the stripe out on to the wing...

Sound like it will turn out nicely, when you do post it up. Still waiting for nice weather, no wind before the big project and when done photos will be posted in this thread.

For those who like to create a design, try making your own stencils before apply plasti dip.

I plistidipped my emblems last summer, and they have been through numerous car washes with no problems to date.
I also tried to plastidip my rims last summer. They turned out great, though I recommend having the tires mounted on the rims or else the coatings may come off when putting the tires on.
I'll put down all my mods here so people will know how cool I am!

Hmm, quite interested in this... As my new car is red but I really wanted black.

Reymando are you the resident plasti-dip expert?

Problem is I don't have a garage or anywhere really closed in to do this, suggestions?

Also what is the total price for doing the whole car?

I can easily help you out with your project. Cost you pay for your own products and you may need 14 to 18 cans depending on how many layers you want. As you know this is not my FT, this is more as a hobby and better understanding plasti dip and yes I have done this plenty about 6 years using plasti dip, 16 years of spray painting, 3 years making molds, and about 10 years making stencils and designs, you can say I'm at the expert side.

Do pm me if you need assistant and I can share you my ideas plus I have a project that needs to be done first before I can help you out.

Chrome is already has a shine to it, and clear will take at least 20% off the shine.

Well it has to be a perfect day without any wind or rain, It would be easily done if I just come by your place when your wheels are off and cleaned properly without any debris/dirt and specially oil.

I'm about to leave to re-stock if you need, I only sell in 2 or more and if its black you need that will be 15 each for 2.

I'd wrap your front emblem in vinyl if I were you....go to a few meets and see just how many members have peeling / shabby looking flying M's where the plastidip is coming off. Wrapping the big M is dead simple and takes like 20 minutes if you've never done it before in your life. Much more durable than plastidip, especially on the front of your car. Personally I wrapped both M's in vinyl and only dipped the "Mazda". It's great stuff, dont get me wrong, but I just remember seeing so many peeling Ms at the last meet...it definitely made me realize the merits of vinyl in such an application.

I still have the same emblem from 2010 without any issues and the good thing about it, easy to take off without any glue marks from old vinyl and its cheap. Lets just say every 2 weeks I have a new look, new design and it feels like a different Car.

Lots of main reason why it peels of easy due to not cleaning it properly using oil type remover from the emblems. I normally use rubbing alcohol to lift up the oil from any components. Using water wash with soap will leave a film that will help plasti dip not stick, just water than dry and using the rubbing alcohol cleaning. 3 coats or 4 depending how long you want to keep the plasti dip on.

This is cheap way to make your car look different for that day and changing it a couple of weeks, its more of a hobby of fun... If I want something to really last, I rather pay for carbon fiber parts.
