Default User - The MZ3 is for us poorer people that just wanna go somewhere reasonably quickly.
Just remember, 4 major factors like normal spray painting.
- no wind
- direct sunlight (plasti dip will bubble)
- clean the area your plasti dipping)
- Always clean the area and don't leave it to long it will collect dust extremely fast. In a garage will be best.

It will dry quicker but it may also bubble due to mix chemicals in the plasti dip, it will still turn out nice but it may be 50/50 chance that you may have to start all over. Don't forget the can has alcohol mixer that needs to evaporate by itself, if your hood is hot from heat from your engine including the direct sunlight you will not get the best look. You can actually see the difference from the color of the plasti dip when done right and if it was done with direct sunlight or heat from the engine you may see darker spots or bubble.
The best result that you will get is in the garage without any sun and your hood nice and cool. You can still do it, but hate starting over and small panels like emblems are easy but larger panels like hood or the entire car, better to do it inside.
Basic knowledge of Plasti Dip, type and ingredients:
Plasti Dip is a multi-purpose specialty rubber coating. It can be used in wide range of industrial applications, and applies easily by dipping, brushing, or spraying. Plasti Dip protects against moisture, abrasion, corrosion, acids, skidding, and slipping. It air dries to a rubbery, easy-grip finish and provides a comfortable, controlled grip. Plasti Dip will not become brittle or crack in extreme weather conditions (-30°F to 200°F), and remains flexible and stretchy over time.
Plasti Dip protective coating is available in 7.25 oz., 14.5 oz., and 22 oz. containers, and in 11 oz. aerosol cans.
Create Your Color Kit! Includes a fully redesigned, 22 oz. container of clear Plasti Dip base and five special tints. The Create Your Color Kit offers thousands of colorful possibilities.
22 oz. Plasti Dip Clear! Using the same redesigned container as our Create Your Color Kit, this new 22 oz. package gives you clear Plasti Dip that can be used on its own or in combination with our specially formulated tints to create any number of colors for any number of projects.
Plasti Dip Black! The same great product in our 14.5 oz. containers is now available in a larger container. More Dip for more possibilities.

question if anyone knows the answer.
it seems like these are 1/2 the cost in the US. i go there quite often, if i buy a few and bring back, anyone know i will have troubles crossing the border? because its paint or in an aerosol can...etc.?
i read in another thread and can't find it now that some plasti dip products cannot be imported?
can also someone comment on the difference between the glossifier and the clear?
another question: i've watched almost all these videos, its seems like when they show them spraying, they don't bother spraying the inside of the wheel?

Just dont claim it and hide it under the floor mat in the trunk of the mazda. Tell them you went over for shopping, show them some low price ticket items, and youll be on your way in no time. OR you can go over for the Seneca Buffet (in the casino) and show them your receipt there (I highly recommend it, its very good!!)
1) Just put it near your tool box without any receipt in the trunk, you will not have any issues.
2) glossifier is a type of gloss to make it shine and clear is just a clear coat, some may use this to spray the hood for protection only and to keep the original car color.
3) Its called being lazy, people will spray the rims without taking it off to completely spray it. Now are you talking about the inside of the rim where the tire goes over? If so, plasti dip is not permanent, so no.
Hope that helps and if you need more info and like to see in action, I have a request from someone here that needs my assistant. I will post or you will see someone in the meet soon.
I am so doing this in the next month or so I cant wait !
