People do it but it's not legal.

Out of all my friends who got tickets for having their plate on their dash only one that I know of got his ticket dropped. And that's cause his truck had a plow and the front bumper was off his truck for the plow harness so he had no other spot to put te plate so he put on dash

I got pulled over once cus the cop didnt even see it. He didnt care at all, let me go.

For the record, I effing hate the rho plate. It is a cheap piece of garbage. Not worth the price at all, would rahter have the cp-e which is made of solid metal instead of flimsy crap.

I realized that tow plates are a stupid reason for a cop to pull u over and hassle u. I've been pulled over already when the cop thought I had no front plates on...then he walks to the front and after seeing it, goes "ohh there it is! didn't notice it at all"

I bet he was jus being a dumb ass, and used it as an excuse to stop me. Furthermore he went on to ask me if I had anything illegal or any weapons. After such an odd moment I was on my merry way again

    1) I wonder when they'll learn to agree with you!
    2) I love when cops ask that...who's gonna' look at the cop and go "yes, you got me!"
Got a variety of OEM Mazda 3 parts that need to go, thread coming soon, PM me for details!

I've been pulled over for having a relocated plate.

Turns out the officer was a Mazda 3 driver himself, and just saw that it wasn't in the usual location. He didn't get a good enough look to see that it was still there and assumed I didn't have one. He let me go though... but not without warning me about my plate covers.

After reading this, i kinda wanna relocate my plate. As well, the new f150 ecoboost's front plate is offset to allow more air into the turbos

Lol if you install it correctly you wont have issues.

I keep hearing crap about RHO plate.

Mine does just fine at 200kmh on track, i dont know why yours would have issues on the street unless it isnt tightened properly?

mine is on tight and has loctite on the center allen screw and i physically can not move it with my hands.

Boom, pulled over again for the same thing. But it was strange, I watched the Cop turn around and I assumed it was for the the Truck that sped through the red light behind me. Weird!

It's cuz the plate is on the wrong side for cars coming the opposite way to see it

If we drive on the left, no problem

only good thing about living in Nova Scotia is it isn't required to have a plate on the front

2nd-gen cars are good. Tow hook is on the left.

Might have written this already, but I was pulled over by a cop doing stops for people in an HOV lane while I had my tow-hook plate on the 2007 sedan. He walked to the window and said "sorry at first glance I thought you didn't have a plate" then waved me on my way.

Lol hassling the cop is never a good idea. and it is up to the police discretion weather they feel if the plate is visible, its the same with tint on the front window.
