I think that my front driver side wheel hub and bearing need to be replaced. Do you guys know a good place where I can get OEM parts?
It's a Mazda 3 2008

Check the sponsors. Out of curiosity, how do you know that's what it is? I'm experincing wheel/suspension issues right now so I'd be interested in what you did to figure this out!
Got a variety of OEM Mazda 3 parts that need to go, thread coming soon, PM me for details!
Jack up one side of your car and wiggle the wheel in and out. Spin it. Generally play with it look for odd sounds.
wheel bearing on the 2008 is separate from the hub. contact Joe/FLIPDADY at Mazda of Toronto for pricing.
Make sure to buy the C-Clip. And if you are DIY check out my post, as Ive done mine myself http://www.torontomazda3.ca/forum/sh...-3-Gen1
I hear a grinding noise when I brake. It comes from the front driver side. According to the dealership, the hub and bearing have to be replaced.
Check out the affiliate dealers. Or try hotspot auto online. Just did my moms hubs, bearings and brakes. Got all the parts from them. Good quality and great price. ( 1/2 price of part source and CT)
Edit.
Hotspot isn't an online store. Website will just tell you locations. Newmarket Brampton Scarborough and a few more I believe.
Grinding isn't usually bearing... If it's grinding it's about to let go......
If its grinding ONLY when you brake that sounds more like low brake pad material or excessive rust on the rotor.
Bearings can certainly make grinding noises but generally it can be heard more often than just when you brake. But if you trust the shop, maybe that is the case.
Where are you located? If you're close to Woodbine and Steeles take it to Jimmy at Street Performance for a second opinion. I did both of my wheel bearings there, but grinding while braking sounds more like an issue with your brakes more so than your hub/bearing. My bearings were grinding while accelerating or driving at constant speed (well one was, the other one didn't get that bad before). And both were making loud "whirring" sounds for lack of a better word.

So I took my car to Jimmy at Street Performance. He took the two front wheels, rotors and pads off. He cleaned off all the rust and debris which the dealership forgot to do when they changed all the rotors and brake pads on the car. Hub and bearing are fine. All noise is gone!
To think I paid $800+ at the dealership and they wanted $450 more to change brearing and hub when it was a simple matter of cleaning rust and debris before installing new rotors!!
Rip off!
