Was wondering what the difference of foglight assembly is between 2.3L and 2.5L models as the price is different. I want to put it on my 2.0 model Mazda 3 (made after 11/09)
2.3L model
2.5L model
Any info would be great, thanks!

First of all, you swapped the links lol.
2.3L models aka the Speed3 come with round foglight housing, while the 2.5L are square housings.
You'll want the 2.5L housings. Also, you'll need to purchase the turn signal stalk with the fog switch.
Oops! I don't know how to edit my post
Do you know if I can use the assembly with the stock dummy housing? However I saw on one of the DIY tuts of a dude taking his out and putting a housing with the hole for the foglight assembly.
Haven't taken the bumper apart to check but I did see a harness when installing my front lip.
As for the turn signal stalk, can it be wired to hook up with the lowbeams without splicing? I also might need a relay for this since I'm going to be running total of 4 ballasts in the car lol.
If not, would any Mazda dealership have it in stock to buy in person or would it be ordered?
.
Going to need to see a picture of your front bumper to tell you if you can just pop the plastic out and do it, or if you are going to need to buy something totally separate.
Never mind, just looked at your profile. You should be able to run the fogs in that bumper. If you notice the lower part of the side "fog light dummy covers" there is kind of a cut out where the fog should go. That's what you pop out, and there is a silver ring around that you can buy, then the light bolts on the back, and it should work once you plug it in, but I would suggest buying the signal/headlight stick in the car. You should just run it off of that. It will come with a fog on/off switch on it.

Forgot to rotate, just to double confirm with you
That should just be able to pop out, if not, you could replace them, they aren't all that expensive. There are ones that Mazda sells for it, but I think they are the same piece with an insert.
But either way, you want the second half of 2010 and on, 2.5L engine, fog light with housing. The first half of 2010 had a chrome strip in the bumper and different fog light inserts.
They do pop out. Its held in by a few screws.
And yes, make sure you select the fogs made for the models after 11/09. I'm also assuming your car has auto lights, so when you purchase the turn signal stock, make sure you buy one with that function.
I basically did the same thing. My sedan didn't come with fogs, so I ordered mine from a Texas dealership. Got it shipped to the border, and I just went to pick it up.
Googling "how to install fog lights on a 2010 mazda 3 2.0" might be helpful to you.
Got a variety of OEM Mazda 3 parts that need to go, thread coming soon, PM me for details!
Just ordered off http://www.hsacarparts.ca/ hopefully they're legit.. $218 with tax and free shipping in Canada.
If anybody has ordered from the website let me know!
Quick info: Their warehouse is in Stratford, ON and they are also doorsmirrors.ca
Yup I'll just go to the Mazda dealership and get it.. It's like 80 bucks + tax ? Which I'll probably get tomorrow once I get my tracking number from the website along with an HID kit
Shouldn't be too bad. Have you ever changed one before? If you want help with an install, I could help. Love doing fogs.
I installed mine and bought the entire kit including the 2 black foglight bezels (a must), the fog lights itself, the wiring harness and the replacement column stalk all for $370 taxes included from Joe (Flipdady) and are guaranteed OEM parts. You can't beat this as it even comes with the instructions and all plug and play.

Please let me know how much the turning stalk really costs and if I have to get a relay for my hid kit as I plan on getting it in the evening.
Okay guys just a lesson learned from me and advice to all of you;
BUY FROM THE DEALERSHIP!!
Turning stalk switch + the wiring harness nose totals about $220 with taxes!
Buying the assemblies itself online is about $220 with shipping, and they don't come with the housing / silver bezel.
So it totals $420 and all that is not such a great idea after all since I already purchased the fogs so I have to stick with them.
Flipdady Joe quoted me way cheaper for the WHOLE kit.
You could however splice the 8pin harness but wouldn't recommend that.
Due to me being impulse and impatient, I've learned my lesson to wait and do more research. Caused me to blow a lot of money and time and this has been the most expensive add on I've ever done to my car
I swear I told you to wait.
