Default 2006 Mazda 3- Right Rear Noise

I have a 2006 Mazda 3 GT Sedan and I am getting a noise from the right rear of the vehicle, when going over bumps or uneven roads. I have changed both rear struts and bushings but the noise still remains. I have 150, 000 KM on the vehilce. Any suggestions?

Have you looked at worn sway bar bushings and end-links as possible causes for the noise?

have u changed your brake pads recently? if so check to see if there is a little pin hooked up to the pads if not thats where the sound is coming from , drive around go on bumps then to listen to the sound, now drive around with ur hand brake up 2 clicks and if there is no more noise then its the pins , i had this problem with my old 3 , drived me insane its like a metal clunking sound over bumps

Check the wheel nuts.. They could be loose. This happened to me a couple weeks ago

I replaced the rotors and brake pads with Mazda parts last year winter. I will definately look at the pin hook as I am getting the metal clunking sounds. Thanks!

I'm having noise coming from the same spot. However it only happens when I drive for maybe 30+ mins and the car's fully warmed up. Basically what happens is when I apply my brakes, right before I come to a complete stop, I hear a clunking noise (metal hitting metal) coming from the rear on every wheel rotation. The more I drive, the louder it gets, the more bricks I shit lol. Thoughts anyone? I'm thinking maybe it's time to replace rotors and pads

Where are the pins located and how would I go about fixing them to stop to clunking?

I had my uncle switch out my back brakes for me and been hearing this sound ever since!! When I brake the noise disappears. He's checked everything and can't figure it out . Any good reputable mechanics in the GTA I can go to for a second look? I'm ready to just go and buy a new car if I can't get this sound fixed.

If he just changed the pads and not the slider pins, rubber caliper bushings and anti-rattle springs, then you will hear noise. All of these components should be replaced everytime pads are done. As was stated earlier in the thread, if you can drive around over bumps with the parking brake just barely on, and the noise disappears, then these are your likely culprits.

Have your uncle check the retainer clips are on properly. I had the same issue after doing the brakes once, a clicking most times but when brakes applied would be silent.

Could be trailing arm bushings. Your car is old, and my 2007 makes noise on bumps and uneven roads and I know for a fact it's my dry bushings.
