    Post Custom Made Wheel Spacers??

I was thinking about making my own wheel spacers with my father sometime soon, hes been a machinist for 30+yrs and ive been around the shop enough to know it could be done pretty easily. I can also get the absolute perfect space that i want. I talked to him about it today and the material is there for free, and it would be a fun time with him making them. Just wondering if anyone else has done or tried doing this or if someones going to tell me i shouldn't do it and just to go buy them, lol.

My buddy runs "homemade" spacers for his track wheels. If done properly, you won't have any issues.
Just keep in mind the length of your wheel studs and don't go too wide (unless you run extended studs)

I've had Flamboro Machine Shop (http://www.flamboromachineshop.ca/) make me 3 different sets of custom spacers, among other custom pieces for my car. If done properly, you've got nothing to worry about. It's just a circular piece of metal...there's no reason why you can't do it yourself.

if you want to go wider than 15mm make adaptors. thats thinnest most companies will go. if you can get quality work and a quick turn around you will make some good money. there is a local company that makes spacers and adaptors but can't seem to keep promises of delivery.

That's the biggest understatement ever lol.

But any ways if you got the tools and machinery go for it. I myself am a toolmaker, and have a good understanding of how "stuff" works lol

They're dead easy to make, and a decent machine shop wouldnt have an issue. I'd be selling them now myself, if it weren't for the liability involved in doing so...

Very true... its hard unless you are confident they wont be damaged... maybe something similar to fine prints: "I will not be liable for any damages to your vehicle or the owner"
