maybe Yellow LaminX film for the fogs.
YEARLY THREAD UPDATE.....
becauserallycar
So a bit has changed since I last updated this thread so Let me list those off real quick.
Firstly, got a compustar alarm/starter installed early this past winter. Did this because my car was going to stay outside and all... plus apparently my car does not have a factory alarm.
heres what it looks like :
It works pretty well and I am able to start my car just as I am leaving my college building with the car being parked a considerate distance (5-6 min walk) away. Very helpful in the winter and extremely helpful in last winter's ice storm.
next up i got a stubby antenna courtesy of @silverstarmazda.... goodbye horsewhip. ( dont have any good pics of it yet... but im sure we all know what a stubby looks like)
Finally I got a dashcam. Because Toronto drivers are going lower and lower in terms of average driving skill. Have the zalbar and it has worked like a charm.
Future mods:
First up I am thinking of either getting LED rear reflectors ( the ones that are in the bumper of the hatch) OR a LED F1 inspired brake light .
Im also considering on possibly getting rims next season ( if funds allow for it). Keeping what I have mind as for what kind of rims is to be a surprisebut I will need to find something that fits my tire size since I wont be able to afford both RIMS and tires plus my existing tires are still in good shape and I don't want to sell them as I wont get much for them compared to what I paid so its better to use them till I have to replace.
As for low.... Im still on the fence on if I am indeed going low...
also heres a picture of DAT ASS....
because im a picture whore for my car
current wax level 2ish layers... maybe 3 since ive polished a few sections this season.
On an unrelated note ( because i dont want to clog up the car wash thread... i washed my car today.... when it was really nice and windy.... even bradford's mayor told me i "picked the perfect day to wash my car" in a rather humorous tone.

Also buying new rims to fit your current stock tires doesn't make any sense and is a waste of money as they will likely be narrow and look silly
If you can't afford to change both the tires and wheels at the same time, then don't even bother....because if you think you're going to lose money on the current tires, try selling 6 inch wide wheels in the future...they won't sell
Or however wide your current tires are

How things change ... :p
As for rims you do have a good point.... I'll see about it
the rims im looking at are supposedly a perfect fit for my tires but i may be wrong.
That said im not just limiting myself to one particular rim model. theres a few others ive had in mind but only one that comes in 16"

Why don't you tell us what you're looking into and we can help you make an educated decision
Michelin Pilot Super Sport
while they are nice I dont think Ill need those tires nor will I be using them at the speeds they are designed for
Ofcourse Im not planning on downgrading to tires worse than my existing ( Cooper CS3 touring ) setup but I still hope to not pay too much. Mind you I only paid half price for my existing tires... the dealer i bought my car from paid the other half since they gave me shitty tires when they tried to pull a bait and switch by putting crappier tires on my car when i picked up as opposed to the tires that were on when i saw the car.
Because I choose to have so much wheel gap..
.. and dont think its wise to lower my car at this stage.

I have a set of pro kit springs approx (30,000km) if you should decide to lower.
In all honesty, if you drive carefully you will be fine.
This was my first car that I've lowered, and its not a big deal, there are a few parking lots and drive ways that need more attention when pulling in, but over all its not bad at all.
And don't worry about the winter at pro kit height, its barely a drop.
But if you are that scared about doing it, then you probably shouldn't do it.
At the end of the day, its your car, do what you feel with it, not because you feel pressured to do it.
Love you car, enjoy it, wax the shit out of it or whatever.
ciao.
