what kinda of gas do you use and find best?

Wow ... you guys need a vid of how to fill your gas tanks? Really?
I don't take vids cause if you're using your phone while at the pump they come over to tap you on your shoulder ... so all I took is pics, I have 6 pics in total and they're all over 1MB in size, now I just gotta figure out how to attach em on the site.

1) Before I start filling up, I was about 10km into the last bar on the gas gauge.


2) Ready to start filling up!


3) Hit first Click at this point.


4) Now I'm at 10L after first click.


5) My attempt to go further, but I chickened out at just over 11.5L after first click. Didn't wanna risk spilling gas and ruining the paint.


6) Final pic showing full tank on the gas gauge before resetting my Trip Odometer.


Had to do all this cause it was freakin freezing that night and I don't like holding ppl up if I'm done pumping, so I was trying to snap pic and get the hell out. So pics were a bit blurry.

Well due to the sheer amount of vacation days I gotta kill before yearend, my driving has gone down a lot, however I'm still trying to see how much I can squeeze out of this very same tank of gas, I'm trying to shoot for the elusive 750km\tank, but I honestly don't think I'll get there with this tank, that being said, I'm currently 1 bar above 1\4 tank and I'm currently at 560kms, so I'm hoping to atleast break 700kms with this tank. However driving this weekend with the snow\slush and cold weather probably ate a lot more gas than it normally does. Keeping my fingers crossed tho!

Got ~380 KM on 48 Litres using Costco gas. 12.63 L / 100 KM.

To be honest, I started with just 1L after the first click, then next fillup went to 2L and onwards until I worked my way to 10L after 1st click.
Once I hit 10L, I decided that's enough for me, cause my '07 Mazda3 GT had about 10L in reserve once I was at Empty on the gas gauge, so I looked at it as a 10L reserve up top (if that makes sense) lol.
That being said, now I know I can actually go 11.6L after 1st click, so next time I'm in the States, I know I can pump 3 Gallons US after 1st click.

im very interested in this. i hate filling up. im gonna try to put more in as well... ill start an extra L at a time. i have a 05 2.0. When storing my bike for the winter a few days ago i was surprised at how much more i could put in there... probably 10-20% if not more.

Might be a bit off the first time you do it (since the previous fill would've been to the click, it's gonna assume you've filled to the same level and think your MPG was worse), but if you subsequently overfill every time to the exact same level, then the numbers will be fine. It won't affect the yearly average.

A quick update, over the weekend (Saturday) I was almost 50kms into my reserve when I pulled in to fill up, and using my 10L after first click method, I was able to pump 68L on my MS3. I know I can safely squeeze 11.5L after the first click, so if I wanted I could've gone for 69.5L, but I prefer to stick with my usual 10L after first click routine cause 10 is a nice round number. lol

That being said, I'm starting to think the 2010 MS3 tank can definitely hold more than 70L of fuel if you're deep enough into your reserve.

shell V-power (91) all day long.
I have tried to compare with petro 91, same destination driving back and forth to work and home
Shell 91 does 35kms more than petro's per full tank. I did the same test twice
And V-power makes the car smoother

Your just saving money by giving your car what it needs.

I never put more than what is called for in any vehicle, including my sportsbike which always received 87 except for storing and the 1 time I put 94 in and got about 30 less kms and no power can whatsoever.

Mainly costco and petro. Shell if I go to visit in-laws. Full tanks gets me about 750 to 800kms. I drive like an old lady.

+1 nothing wrong with that. I use ultra94 all the time, occasionally, I tried a few tanks of Husky94, same stuff, no knock car runs beautiful.
