what kinda of gas do you use and find best?

I've been using Shell's regular gas since I got my car back in 2006. It gave me the best mileage per tank but since they closed the refinery in Montreal a couple years ago, I went back to my original location which I went to with my old car: Canadian Tire gas station

I get 1$ of CT money every time I gas up there and I know who supply CT gas in my area: Irving and Ultramar.

Not quite sure what the article is trying to get across? It says that the gas stations all get them from one place, but they are all different, so it makes me think that there is something to filling up at different stations that helps certain cars and not others.

So if I get good mileage from Petro, but someone else gets better from Shell, it doesn't really matter?

Have always put Petro in my cars, rarely anything else....would risk running out of gas to make it to one.

lol i almost ran my car dry just limping to an esso lol. i find that petro and esso seem too have very similar gasolines... as far as operation smoothness and fuel economy.

lol i get no discount at all. there was another new gas station called pioneer that sells gas a couple cents lower. didnt notice much of a difference. but you know how people tell you its crappier gas. so i just went back with esso. we have 50km when the light comes on. the max i ever gone since the light came up was about 40km. and that was with careful driving lol. i dont like running the tank dry like that but sometimes theres no option.

"Pioneer" is no where near a new gas station, unless where ever you are had copied the name and didn't know it. and 50 k if you are driving like a race car driver. My light comes on at 46 litres, this tank is a 55 litre tank, You could go almost 100km more most likely.

no no no!! i meant they bult a new one near me lol. some other member got around 50 km after the light came on. he drove until the engine stuttered and died. had to refuel on foot lol. i try not to run it that low since i dont want to kill my pump

after i got rear ended i had a ford focus rental car and the trip computer said i had 31KM left on the tank and and i ran out. ive taken the one on my mazda to 0KM once lol

I would trust the size of the tank from Mazda specs, and I know that when my light comes on, its 46 litres to fill, I have never put over $60 into my Mazda at one time, so I would run it probably for 50-75 km then think of filling up, if I really had to. I hardly ever let it get that low though.

on Thursday I took my car down to 0km range for a while, drove to a shell and put in 7 litres of 91 because I couldn't find Ultra 94 and the car was going to run out of gas.

7 litres of fuel and the trip computer still said 0km range...that's pushing it

My preferences are Shell and Petro Canada. Especially Shell as I need to get my Air Miles Balance up there. The promotional card for 10 bonus points per pump certainly doesn't hurt. Gotta get me a new camcorder.

I only consider Petro Canada if there are no Shells available or Petro Canada's promotion is simply better than Shell.
