    Default Will This Work?(Borla Exhaust)

I've been offered a 450$ borla cat back exhaust for my Mazda 3 2007 i 4dr. The only problem is that the exhaust is made for a Mazda 3 2007 s 4dr.

Does anyone know if it will still fit properly? If not, can I make it fit easily?

    Thanks!

I didn't know :p On my ownership it said "i" So I go off of that instead of GX/GS/GT.

Yes it will work.. I have a Borla and when I ordered it I could only choose from sedan or hatch. so I think thats what they (Borla) meant by "i" = sedan & "s" = hatch

Even though the prior post is correct (the "i" & "s" are the motor size)

Buy it for $400 and if its from a hatch you will need a extension weld(pipe) during install.. IMO it is still worth the extra costs since I paid almost double for mine brand new

If the exhaust doesn't fit try the best shop for muffler work in the GTO area: A&A Exhaust at 480 Grays Road in Hamilton, Ph: (905) 578-4303. These guys can manufacture ANY BRACKETS/parts you need. I used them to install a 5" diam. Flowmaster Pro on my transport truck (when no other shop could do it), and then again to modify the exhaust on the Ford F150. Plan to use them again when getting a new muffler for the Mazda. These guys work on all kinds of vehicles and are pretty fast. Best to show up in the mornings when they are not too busy, and they'll do the work while you wait.

this website says it will fit a 2.0L, you just need to get it extended as it maybe for the HB, there is a bunch of discussions on M3F and they all they say that it will work.

it will fit for sure. i had it on my sedan. i or s or gs/gt doesn't matter, its a sedan. its the same length. borla iirc only made one model # and it was intended for a hatch which is actually shorter than the sedan. it will still fit, but you will find that the tip tucks in about 1"

in the US the trim levels are defined by i/s/sp23

    in CAN it is gx/gs/gt.

Thanks guys! Exactly what I was looking for. Too bad it tucks an inch in. Still debating it though, will post online if I get it in the winter months to come or spring :p

gen 1's you can swap sedan and hatch exhausts no problem. You will NOT need an extension or shortening as the difference is minimal and hard to notice.
the second gens are a whole different story though. If you have a sedan exhaust you MUST shorten it if you want to put it on a hatch
