Selling 2011 Ford F150 - Buying a 2012 Mazda 3 GX A/C

Hi, everybody. Glad I've found this forum. I'm a long haul trucker based in Cambridge, ON. Did a lot of mods on my previous Ford F150. The new Mazda 3 is my first Japan-built vehicle. Look forward to learning from you guys on this forum and putting some mods on my Mazda. Turning in the Ford keys and picking up the new car on Wed, Oct 10th in Kitchener!

Somewhat ironically you traded one ferd in for another - the dipstick says FoMoCo and the car is based off the c1 platform (s40, focus, mz3/5).

No. I am mostly good at strategizing and planning (upgrades and repairs), I let mechanics deal with the execution. That yellow thing has been dyno-tuned to the max by CAT, I put on a an extrude-honed manifold, K&N performance filter for big trucks, and it has a special 5" diam. Flowmaster PRO muffler (horizontal single turn-down). Also installed a GEARMASTER, a gadget which plugs in the ECM port and serves as digital tachometer and shift indicator. The next upgrade which I've been thinking about for a while is adding a bumper skirt in the front for better aerodynamics. it's a work in progress. The truck has 1,100,000 km on the odometer

Very nice..i haaate those under skirts for the front bumper, but thats coming from a mechanics standpoint haha

yep, meritor 13... had it rebuilt for 2,000 torque otherwise CAT refused to increase the HP/torque of the engine.

Yes, it's my own truck. I can do what I want with it I also pay all the fines for any DOT tickets. A few months a DOT officer in New York State gave me a ticket for a malfunctioning ABS light on the dashboard (the ABS system itself worked). Had to replace the ECU of the darn ABS. Cost? Almost $2,000 with labour.
