and that's why I am not building my motor

what ever happened to those donations threads for blown motors im always reading about! loll
Budget for $15,000 when all is said and done.
That's about where the rest of us are at I would say. My headwork was $2500 not including parts.
Want to work on your car but not sure how, send me a PM. Learn the way of Nator.
Note to self. Skip headwork lol.
mike when do you plan to have all of this stuff done? spring? summer?
May 2047......
Lol, hopefully assemble the motor and install early spring.
Great googily moogily. At least you already have the turbo and the TBE.....

Mike the beadwork is what will make you all the power. I wouldn't skip on it.
But I can't afford the rods If I do. Then I will make zero HP lol
How long were you running BT before you blew? What power levels were you at?
Like 3 months.... 350 wtq and 300 hp.
Edit: Those were numbers off VD

Well guys I can't catch a break....
60 km into the break in #4 rod bearing ****ed off.... Both cams scoured to ****.
Main journals look ok so I'm hoping the block is ok.
I haven't gotten my oil pressure gauge installed yet as it arrived after my build was complete but I was using a new oil pump. Plenty of oil was all up in the valve cover. No CELs related to Oil pressure at any time.
I'm headed back to the machine shop tomorrow.
Pretty shitty experience so far. To top it all off i took a crowbar to the head pulling the motor Sunday. 3 staples :-/.
