    Budget for $15,000 when all is said and done.

    That's about where the rest of us are at I would say. My headwork was $2500 not including parts.

    Holy crap that's a long time for the machine shop. I love living in the golden triangle. Last time I did an engine build I had all parts machined and cleaned within 2-3 weeks.

    Well guys I can't catch a break....




    60 km into the break in #4 rod bearing ****ed off.... Both cams scoured to ****.

    Main journals look ok so I'm hoping the block is ok.

    I haven't gotten my oil pressure gauge installed yet as it arrived after my build was complete but I was using a new oil pump. Plenty of oil was all up in the valve cover. No CELs related to Oil pressure at any time.

    I'm headed back to the machine shop tomorrow.

    Pretty shitty experience so far. To top it all off i took a crowbar to the head pulling the motor Sunday. 3 staples :-/.
