the only thing not ready was evap system ( thats because i didnt do the drive clean cycle before ) but you are allowed 1 not ready. if you do the drive clean cycle wich is found on the mto site, you will not get the evap not ready sign.

I know it will pass with the AP installed.
What I would like to know is if you disable an EGR code in ATR does the EGR readiness monitor stay as "not ready" or will it be "ready", same goes for the cat codes.
Say if I disable ALL of the emission codes in ATR will there be a chance I can pass.

u pop a light u will fail lol... and paul if you disable it through atr and do a drive cycle without shooting a code you should pass. even if you get a monitor that says not ready you will pass. you are allowed 1 monitor

Mikey, my problem is I'm changing my entire fuel system. If it doesn't work it will be more than 1 monitor.

I'll sign up but it's one of those things that will never work.
Unfortunately. People have become to "green" not realizing the after affects.
Take for example hybrid/electric cars. The production and disposal of these cars actually negate the carbon footprint savings. They are worse for the environment the driving a regular car.
This is why the government is working towards making it unaffordable for people to drive. Proposing things like road tolls, increased gas taxes and many other fees for driving a car ( a bill being proposed to parliament soon)
On top of that is has already been proven that the emission test do not work. There is no need for them.
I'm just happy I don't have to do the drive clean BS where I live...
Went for my etest yesterday, MS6 with cobb map loaded.
Even thou it was smoking a bit and burning oil, it passed.
All the test checks are the status of sensors/system reported by the ECU:
Misfire
Fuel System
Comprehensive
Catalyst
Evaporative System
Oxygen Sensor
Oxygen Sensor Heater
EGR system
As long as all the above is ready AND you don't have a MIL on, you are good.
its all about money, not about being environmentally friendly. my boss took his 1980 camaro to get it etested and was told that it failed cause of a blown catalytic converter which was causing a cel. got it replaced with new piping for like 800 and got it tested again at a dealership or something and it still failed for other reasons. somehow he got a 2 year pass as one of the managers told him he paid enough already... total ****n scam.

its been a while since ive dealt with etests directly, but i think if you fail there is a min repair cost required. so say its $500. if your repair is $400 you need to do it and then get a retest if you pass or fail you get a conditional. if your repair costs $800 then you can run again get a conditional but it must pass the next time. or something like that. the other problem apart from the $35 test and $15 retest or what ever it costs, is the diag to find out why it failed, we dont do etests or failed diag at our shop but back in the canadian tire days it used to be around $100-$150 to diag why the car failed. + the repair + both first and 2nd tests.
but your right before you know it its $800- $1000 and there was nothing wrong to start with. the worst is that new cars dont need to be tested for 7 years, yet if you buy a car thats not 7 years old or sell yours to someone else. it needs an etest before it can be plated. now that is a scam!
The biggest bullshit part is it depends on where you live.
Friends with an address in Burks Falls does not need to do drivecleans, even though they drive down here more so then up north.
